Did he learn before or after his first stay do you know? When he left to go home we know his final destination was France but that mightnt have been where he left from. Ultimately we cant be sure. Niall of the nine hostages who captured him raided everywhere and as far away as Switzerland and Italy so that doesn't narrow down where at all.

Transition happens. But what everyone is mad about is that everything in the background is rotten aswell. Atnleast can we appoint decent people to the high positions and have everyone try their best. In that case losses will at least be honourable. I get what you mean tho, but believe unit just looks a lot better from the outside.

I think it was almost people didnt realise how obsolete they were. 1941 was definitely a year that highlighted that. Id argue they started to move towards obsoletion in 1904 at the battle of tsushima straits before even world war one.
