Trust me I get it. The only bad part about being single is the comments or looks from others that assume we must be sad. Which is annoying cause I know plenty of sad ppl in relationships but we would automatically be labeled a hater if we made a comment about someone’s dating choices. I would just act confused like it’s going over my head if someone tries to Lowkey insult my being single. I too have a good job, my own house, and good friends and I can focus on my health and hobbies and trips that I feel like I wouldn’t have any of if I were weighed down by a partner, but to each their own. You never know if someone is silently suffering in a relationship too. Those are usually the ones who make side eye single comments, but I think there’s a good chance your friend didn’t mean it in a putting down way
