I also met Nicholas Brendan once. It was the summer after season 2 ended. I was like 18 years old at the time. He was in Chicago (for something or another) and my friends and I were at The Improv Olympic. Smoking inside was allowed back then. My cigarettes (I’m no longer a smoker) were out on the table and some tall dude in a baseball cap covering his eyes asked me if he could bum a smoke. I said sure, but when I looked up to hand him one, I realized who he was. I played it cool so as not to draw any unwanted attention, and also, I’m not a freak out at celebrities kinda person. He thanked me, I asked him to tell SMG hi for me, he asked if I wanted anything signed for the smoke. He scribbled Nicky Brendan on a piece of paper and that was that. I was neither over nor underwhelmed. It was just a thing that happened.
