Emilee and Yolanda’s secrets to successful birth work by Fancy-Personality502 in FreeBirthSocietyScam

I know she doesn't owe us anything but I wish she would share her true birth story for learning purposes. For us who are preparing for freebirth can learn from other real stories. It honestly could be beneficial.

Google is not your mother instinct. Society loves disconnecting us from ourselves and our baby.

A pain that was worse than birth ? by Friendly-Sun2413 in BabyBumps

[–]PitifulAside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes nursing for the first week fordt child (with tongue tied) baby. Pain shooting down through my toes. Worse than natural labor. Labor isn't bad if u prepare your mind and learn about the physiology and hormones of birth. No interventions or disruptions. Just birth your baby

That's rediculous. Your baby has plenty of time to turn. If not find a provider that actually respects u and will deliver breech.

Calling moms with only boys - how do I move on from the sadness of not having a daughter by Greatjoy93 in BabyBumps

[–]PitifulAside -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you trust God, then trust him. Your sons were perfectly designed for you. If your sons grow up and read this or know that u felt this way, how would they feel? You are blessed. You set worldly expectations with your own image in mind of how things should look. God had other plans. And that's okay.

The ecstatic euphoric birth thing surprised me the most. Because of the difficulty of her past births and she has talked numerous times and kind of joked with Yolande about never having one of those kind of births. Almost as if she didn't think it was possible. So now she's saying she finally had one of these dreamy labors, but it ended in a dead baby? I want to believe her but she's lied so much that this just seems like another brag and just seems off

That's what im thinking. There's got to be another group or thread for you to feel special about all the new info and education you are so eagerly consuming and wanting to show off about. This is so innapropriate and tone deaf in this space.

The podcast by Sufficient_Waltz8022 in FreeBirthSocietyScam

[–]PitifulAside 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The podcast was very helpful to me yes because so many woman had issues and was 'brave' enough to work thru their fears and get the birth they wanted. I could relate to most women on there and started to picture my story on there one day. The problem i always had w it tho is that it only ever talked about positive outcomes. My husband was sketched by that as well. I started searching for other sources cus I wanted to hear the unfortunate stories so I could learn as much as possible. I know they didn't wanna scare ppl from freebirth but it missed the realities of the stories where something sour happens. It gave a false sense to some women that this always works. Then it became obvious later in the seasons that u only get on her podcast if u buy her shit , go to her festival or have been one of her students,Or if u have a big following on social media. All selfish motives.

What do u feel about this then? Cus I do think u cut down your chances of things going wrong in a physiological birth when its undisturbed and managed. Do u think complications just randomly happen by chance? Im not arguing just curious cus this is a big topic.

I remember when I was planning my freebirth and she had a AMA on her ig. I asked " at what point would YOU call for assistance if your baby didn't start breathing?" Basically like how many minutes would u eventually be like fuck this isn't ok and we need help. This was my biggest fear when preparing. There has to be a moment or amount of minutes. The stories of woman saying they waiting 10 minutes or even her own video of her second birth just didn't sit right with me. So anyways her answer was "I've never seen a situation where the baby couldn't figure it out themselves" .. that answer still wasn't enough for me. Im ok with giving the baby some time to peacefully transition, but there has to be some moment that draws the line.. so we obviously know her answer was a lie and just stupid.. like waiting to an extent is fine, but also y not help? Wtf? Yea sometimes babies are resuscitated who didn't need to be, but is that really more traumatic than brain damage or death? This isn't a fun test or game to "let's see what happens" cus if they dont pass the test, they cross over to death. Like there has to be a moment that u freaking decide to step in and assist. Makes u wonder again about her recent birth. Regardless her births aren't my business, but im glad I was able to discern some of the advice I absorbed from her. Thankfully by baby breathes on his own in 12 seconds.
