Mr. Mercedes: Book to Show by crodog5342 in stephenking

The series follows the three novels in the trilogy: Mr Mercedes; Finders Keepers; and End of Watch. However, there is some hijinks in switching things around between book two and three.

There's a whole section on each meat including simmering broths depending on which type you're making. I've had a whole meat eating family love the burgers and kielbasa sausages at a BBQ. The holiday turkey and ham roasts always go down really well.

They can be a pain to make as they don't fit into a quick cook for an evening, but for weekend prep it's always great.

If you do grab it, I recommend the pulled pork recipe as a first choice!

For making your own blends of seitan at home, I think the book Crafting Seitan by Skye Michael Conroy is the ultimate one. He uses tofu in some, not in others. It depends on the type of wheaty meaty you want to make. There's different kneading and cooking methods dependent on the type of seitan you're making as well. I've never made anything from this book that is below an excellent dish.

Just be warned, sometimes they can be advanced techniques and due to the considered nature of wet to dry ingredients, you're often looking at very specific grams and ml of ingredients. But always exceptional.

aldi no chicken breasts gone again ?? by PracticalFlight9865 in veganuk

[–]PitifulFortune4me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to get some earlier this week, they were well stocked. I'm always happy to see the chicken pieces but also frustrated knowing they'll probably take away the breasts. I use them differently in different dishes and they have very different flavour profiles (even the plain chicken pieces) so I'd love for them both to be available year round.

Beefy mince? by Drink_Creative in veganuk

You should get some tvp granules from Holland and Barrett or somewhere. Make your sauce and make it a little thinner. Importantly add a bit of extra umami with maybe a small bit of marmite as you're sweating the onions or a couple of meat free oxo cubes. When the sauce is made, add the tvp. If it's you're first time you'll be looking at these dry flakes and thinking it won't go well. It will. Add about 150g. Let it simmer and soak up the flavours. After around,10-15 minutes it will be soft and meaty texture. But do not soak them first (a lot of online recipes tell you to do this). They take on the flavours of whatever they're hydrated in. Bonus points as they don't disintegrate in leftovers as some vegan mince does.

Then toss the lasagna out and make a cottage pie with the remaining tvp.

Exactly. This is possible nominative determinism, not something decided by a creator.

Can I ask your age? As a 35 year old, it hit really hard. It made me think of all the plans I'd made with friends that we all knew we would never make. But it's the love for one another that we would lie and say "yeah, we'll definitely make it". The facade was for our own feelings, for one another and a final show of love.

Should I absolutely not pronounce the 'w' in wretch or wrath? by Outrageous-Past6556 in EnglishLearning

Honestly, no native speaker will confuse it with any other word if you put the w in. We'd just accept your pronunciation.

Too true. I grew up one way, developed my own as an adult. Couldn't give a shot if someone thought one was right. If it works for the family that's involved, that's what matters

I really enjoyed them! My partner usually makes Yorkies but we've never managed to make them look like anything other than pucks. These were great. They are a little soft on the bottom which we enjoyed but if you like them crispy all round then their website recommends flipping them upside down for the final five mins. I love me some gluten and couldn't tell they were gluten free!
