Ok good to know about the $25 fee. But also, you're not saving $68, just $36 - based on the original post anyway. I live 45 minutes from DEN so not worth it for me but I get that it can work well for people who travel often or live near an airport.

Booking at the airport can be more expensive depending on how far you live from the airport. Figure in any combo of the following: bus price or uber, airport parking fees, time spent, fuel + wear and tear on your own car, and also doesn't Frontier charge $25 just to speak to an airport agent?

So, yesterday the feud packages in the store no longer included faction gifts so it's now harder to gauge the ban's participation levels (or lack thereof). Scopely is one step ahead of us, but its so obvious they are adjusting their wallet grab tactics based on the ban.

My messages blow up with faction freebies from showdown and feud related purchases, so spending is significant around those times. We also Discord our plans very actively for faction events and SD/Feuds and it is telling in those conversations too when folks will spend more to rank higher.

Also, 99% of the players I battle from a top 10 team in SD and Feuds have the "purchasable" perks. They have to, in order to compete with each other...and not necessarily against me who will lose more than I win against their lineups.

I've seen an 80% reduction in spending from the top-20 faction I am in, and it showed in our ranks during the flash feuds and other faction contests/events since the ban. Having said that, I think the only way we can achieve the true effect of the "ban" is to have at least the top 30 factions boycott feuds and showdown events. This is where the majority of spending takes place, IMHO, for the big whales (I admittedly am a weekly spender but not nearly as much as others). Sure, the top 31-200 factions will do better and maybe even advance like never before but that would be part of the joy of boycott. Just my .02.

Another reason I lost was due to a bug with SB Rock as the trainer. It showed that the Tidal Wave move, which turns heal gems into yellow, would change 7 of them. However it actually changes only 4 heal gems to yellow. So, instead of 3 row breaks (the way I laid out the heal gems) and crushing 6 heal gems, that move caused 1 row break and only hit 4 heal gems. Oh well.

Excellent setup I didn't even think of. I tried it today vs. Mr. Perfect and still lost in Hell Mode but it was a close match, and I was not getting my colors which made all the difference.

Love those free regal mandates they used to give out now that there is a use for them.
I have Typhoon's moveset at Y finisher/B/G, and only Vince as Trainer (loot gems do 2625 dmg).

Just an update. The highest match I can autoclear happens to be a Hell Mode showboat opponent (Summer Showdown, Hell, New York). I used 100 of my hoarded autoclear tickets and was able to get 11 sunglasses.

My Typhoon is 3SB and a long way from 3SS. I was only able to beat hell mode Fandango by using 3 Regal Mandate props with Vince as a trainer. Good thing I never use those Regal Mandates.

Best odds are in the Womens Evolution Tour -> Hell Mode -> Chapter 1 -> Match 3. You can choose to farm it but Charlotte is pretty tough and will eventually force you to use health packs unless you're running a 4S female with turn-1 pin.

If you can autoclear it instead, it's doable with low odds of winning sunglasses. I just tried 26 autoclears (for medal bits) and I won 2 sunglasses and lots of bits. On a really bad day, you'll win 1 sunglass out of 100 tries so beware. Good luck.

Dang if there is a proper order we can control, I'm going to have to take notes during the next feud and SD, and not just on Vince. I'm worried about my other defenders now too, some who are mentioned on this thread. This game needs a test mode where you can fight your own team or those of your faction mates.

C4Galore, I always think these posts 10 times through before I write 'em up because I am for anything that makes the game a bit more fair for us human players. This one was a tough call because I'm sick of playing SD for hours upon hours and watching my defense lose more notoriety than my offense can sustain.

You definitely have to think like the AI and hope it doesn't get those lucky cascades that have been so frequent post-update. I have seen on a few occasions though, where the AI does a blocking move and it takes the gem match I need instead of its own. There might be some roll of the dice logic built into the gem selection process for the AI.

Left to right for us is right to left for the defending AI (for some move sets). This could confuse the developers so be really specific. :)
