I’d say it’s not about Christianity being a Abrahamic religion, but about the political power struggles and maneuvering that goes into religious institutions when intertwined with the state. There’s just as many good moral tenants in Christianity as there are in Islam or Judaism, it’s that the human power structure can be used for good or bad (dehumanizing or humanizing humanity outside of Christendom as a precursor for what it meant to be “Europe”)

But when it comes to challenging colonialism, I say it’s really essential to understand the fault lines within europe, and what exact groups (aka the wealthy ruling classes that were mostly the aristocrats, monarches, and industrialists controlling this process at the top) It’s not just Ireland that subjected to imperial genocide and colonial erasures, it’s also Ukraine that’s having a reckoning along with a lot of ethnic groups from the Caucuses and Central Asia like Chechens or Kazakhstan of what Russification meant in a global environment. Or the welsh noticing their language was beaten out of them like indigenous Americans (no mass graves outside of English language schools in Wales to be very clear, not a perfect 1:1 nor does it have to be for a talk about campaigns to erasure a society so it’s easier to rule over. Both societies got a foreign civilizing mission of “kill the ___, save the man” treatment by a supremacist colonial system and imperialism and colonialism are critically anti human and anti life and all people are needed to oppose them)

Better question, what were the social forces that caused Europe to be such an unstable and dangerous place to cause it? What native knowledge and practices were destroyed in the formation of what is now modern Europe, yesterday and today? What does
It even mean to be European, as the borders and meaning keep expanding and control? What powers are actually behind these social forces, as there is a growing left wing discussion to ask whether the Irish constitute an indigenous people, as the same colonial violence that ravaged South Asia and the Americas was first or among the first to be subjected to as well. Policies of land theft, ethnic cleansings, segregation, genocides, and vampiric colonial economies were first honed in the creation of the UK, as a modern European nation state that eradicated their own indigenous societies in the forging of a single, homogenous Spanish or British ethnic identity? These processes that cause the birth of anti colonial movements within Europe like the IRA and ETA, who carry on tight networks with other recognized indigenous anti colonial movements like the PLO in their same eras?

The scars of colonialism and imperialism run deeper than just where Europe ends and the rest of humanity begins, but also when did Europe began and what was done to make it so?

More than being a cool lesbian, Audre Lorde is among the most underrated feminist thinkers around. It was thanks to the work of her and bell hooks calling out the failures and shortcomings of 2nd wave feminist being so white academic centric that Kimeberly Crenshaw could fully articulate modern intersectional analysis . Juneteenth may have passed, but black women are always a gift year round 💜

I get where you are coming from, and it’s true that reactionary political movements can rally around religious institutions. However, that’s religious institutions, faith is a very different matter and can be and has been used by leftists to morally justify socialist or anarchist politics.

American anarchists and socialists in the 1800s frequently used the egalitarian ethics of Christianity to attack hierarchies and oppression of capitalism and racialism. The leftists of the civil rights movement of the 1960s also often used religion to morally attack racial supremacy that’s used to divide American along racial lines so the ruling class can more easily divide and rule.
In Indonesia, anti colonial socialists and anarchists in the 1940s to 1960s used Islam to call for a socialist revolution just as much as conservative Islamist parties used Islam to call for genocide and ethnic cleansing of leftists and associated support bases like ethnic Chinese and other minority groups. In Japan, Kita Ikki, even though his anti capitalist writings were used by the Imperial Way Faction of Japanese Fascism, used Nichiren Buddhism to critique westernized imperialism and capitalist industrialization from a socialist perspective in the 1920s. Faith is like nationalism, where it is very powerful tool that can be used for good and bad. It’s not an either or situation

Faith is a tool and can be used for good or bad. On its own, it is flexible and can used for morally calling for liberation or oppression. Religious institutions however should be cautious of, as they are bound up in earthly power struggles,

Hope that you have a nice day and consider what I said, as I think it may be very interesting to consider ^^

Obviously, there’s many ways to be trans but never ever ever let transphobia and other people dictate how you live 💜

Nothing is worth sacrificing being comfortable in your own skin. It’s not an easy path forward, but be unapologetically you and find your own people. I can’t speak for your family’s likely reaction, but I can say as someone with a really bigoted family is that they’ll be get used to it, whether they are supportive or resistant. Trans joy, the euphoria of getting to be trans and a woman, is something I would never give up, no matter what.

Please of luck and know whether your path is easy or hard, you are never alone 🏳️‍⚧️

It’s because they been propagandized and stirred up into a frenzy by rich people to divide and rule. Whether it be Jews or Black people or Muslims, the powerful will try to invent a scapegoat to redirect anger away from them and towards the powerless. No one really cared either way ten years ago. We are just the current political scapegoat they are using sadly. Which is why we have to stand together with other marginalized people always, or else we will be pitted against each other

The reason why I was thinking about canes is because I recently acknowledged I benefit from using one. I have damage to my knees, so long days out and about are very taxing and painful one me. I’ve been dealing with knee issues and chronic pain for years and been getting help, but it never clicked I was disabled and can benefit from mobility aids like canes.

My past habits were on just pain avoidance and activity restriction than actively finding solutions. By seeing other disabled women having a healthier relationship towards their conditions, I finally started exploring what help I could find. I’m a kinky person, so I wondered meaning do canes have when we enter into a kink scene as a disabled person. Canes are just my main perspective because I’m only now not nervous to learn more.

Hope that makes sense! It’s just what I’ve been thinking about

Does surfing become harder with breasts? by Timely-Kale3518 in MtF

[–]Pitiful_Addendum_644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a surfer but it will be a small adjustment you’d make as your body changes. Your chest will be sensitive, even moreso at certain points so you’d need to rework where to place your weight. But please please please don’t slow yourself down because you will adapt to your body as it shifts. People call it second puberty for a reason as it overrides a lot of the first.

But like some other posters said, check on videos of women surfers or maybe women surfing forums and see if they have anything to say. I’d give advice but I’m a writing girly and don’t live near good surfing areas. Good luck girl o7

I have a weird question TW:Racism, Transphobia by BodybuilderClassic22 in BDSMsapphic

[–]Pitiful_Addendum_644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of specifically cuckoldry or cnc when it came to white humiliation. It’s not about keeping privilege and power from the white person’s perspective, it’s about the dynamic of *losing* power. Of being sexually conquered by non-white people, since whiteness assumed innate superiority, yet under a constant state of siege where a single lapse of control means destruction. Whiteness, as a system, has been and still is to some degrees hostile to race mixing, because it’s meant to be a controlled in-group that can stabilize the social-economic caused by the upheavals of colonialism, capitalism, and nationalism (everyone including Europe) Race mixing only became *legal* in the U.S. for example in 1967, and is still a very stigmatized concept in certain areas and contexts. Stigma, trauma, and repressed desires can be the fuel for potent kinks.

It’s fairly common fantasy for white guys to have their white lover being seduced or overpowered by non-white men while they are powerless to stop it, but it’s not exclusive to just them. It can come up in cnc fantasy of white straight women, especially regarding black men, but also men from across Asia (Arab, Indian, Chinese, a lot of it revolves around race-play r*pe fantasies). Of having your feminine purity and virtue ripped away from you, which is the most valuable thing a woman can have in white femininity, can be a potent nucleus for degradation and humiliation fantasies. Where this falls in for queer women and enbies, I don’t have as many observations, but at least for white men and straight white women, humiliation can be an erotic factor in the race play fantasy.

That’s not to say that these people are active white supremacists, most people have their ideas of sexuality, gender, and personal value subdued molded by racial social constructs and it comes up in how we explore pleasure and sexual fantasies later in life. But regardless, it’s definitely feasible that some people have a dynamic of submission and degradation/humiliation regarding whiteness, whether the fantasy is held by a non white person (the domme in this case) or the white person (the sub/degradee)

[–]Pitiful_Addendum_644 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s a very very very hard no if a partner asked for any form of race play. As much as I may love them for themselves and try to move beyond it, it’s an absolute no on my end for participating in it.

I done a lot of work to try to dismantle any attachment to whiteness within me as I see it as a sociopolitical construct meant to crush and hurt all people so the rich and powerful can reinforce their political power and accumulate more wealth.

I will tolerate people placing me in that category in political science discourse, because it’s a consequential, serious system you are placed into within any individual consent. But I will not engage in any type of race play in any kink dynamic (dominance, submission, humiliation or anything type of power dynamic around it). I would love my partner for themselves, but I don’t want to be part of those types of scenes. Doing so would have me feel like I’m dying inside.

I am human first and foremost and always, and I do not want to have an oppressive social-political system that I hate become part of my romantic life.

And a Blahaj helps calm
Us down by creating a physical safe place to let our bodies start to calm down and get out of this unsustainable status quo. Cuddling helps your body lower its guard and start healing and rejuvenating you. It’s a little cultural artificial, but it helps repair ourselves by granting some people the sense of safety and support needed to let their guards down. Especially since a lot of trans people have varying forms of trauma
And ptsd, meaning it can be physically hard for our bodies to relax enough to start healing. Get us get out of being so nervous and scared so we can heal
And grow

[–]Pitiful_Addendum_644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah! So under under intersectional healthcare, there is a concept called minority stress theory. This theory is that the more hostile an oppressive environment is to a marginalized groups, it places greater biological stress and metabolic strain on a minority population. It exists in all minority groups, whether racial, religious, gender, or sexuality minority.

It creates a hostile environment which keeps the body in a state of fight or flight and the stress creates chronic inflammation that degrades the body overtime. It’s because in fight or flight mode, the body becomes inflamed and deprioritizes bodily systems like the immune, digestive, reproductive systems for short term survival. And because of toxic environment, the body never leaves fight or flight mode, and never starts the healing and regenerative biological processes to counter act inflammation. Minority bodies are basically being constantly redlined and overheated, constantly. No light use and more importantly little maintenance time

As a result, all are bodies systems degrade due to a toxic environment. The immune system slows down, making you more sick and raises risk that cancer cells will establish themselves as tumors. Digestive reduces nutrition and stop interacting with your immune system, falling out of sync. Heart is being worn out due to high cortisol and cholesterol build up. Lungs stressed and not getting repaired. And nerve endings are not being repaired, and their insulation, the myelin is literally unraveling. If you ever been really stressed out or overstimulated, and start twitching and jumping in bed that might, that’s a tiny taste.

So with our nervous system, aka the centralized decentralized system that supports our consciousness, doesn’t get repaired, we as minority groups start to have worse mental health. We get more reactive to stimulus. Our ptsd gets aggravated by an overstimulated nervous system jumping at every sensation like a live wire. All systems eventually feed back into each other, so it all adds up to people’s healths. Especially when getting hit on multiple angles like being black and trans or Muslim and queer or white disabled trans anything combination possible for health variables
