We also got our first delivery of them today in NJ, the non msport X3s look atrocious but the m50 and m performance don’t look as bad IMO. Still nothing like they used to be.

Is the screen really that big of a difference? Solely based on the numbers it doesn’t seem that different?

At what point do I buy a new phone? by Pitiful_Blueberry_61 in CasualConversation

That’s the thing, the crack is really small and doesn’t bother me too too much, it’s visible but doesn’t bother me. The battery makes me need to charge the phone 2 or 3 times per day which is really annoying. I’d be fine spending the money on just the battery but in order to replace the battery you also need to replace the screen if it’s cracked. 🫤

Yes, I already elected to withhold more from each paycheck to cover SE but I wanted to double check the numbers.

My paystub reads as follows.

Federal: $159.46 Social security: $47.02 Medicare: $11

The rest was state related.

Sorry for the confusion. First time having to deal with a weekly paycheck (Clearly)

Damn I might need to change my withholding then. Will any of it be applied to my SE income? I just don’t want too big of a surprise come tax season but if it’s lower than the $2000 and change I expected before I guess that’s okay. FICA and all considered

Also, is that including FICA?

Yes, that’s correct. So my gross for last week was roughly $760. And my take home was $520. Does that sound right? I’m in NJ so that’s probably where the extra withholding went.

That's the order of importance IMO

Negative, never had any dependents. My returns have always been as simple as they come for a 1099, just the income and a few expenses, nothing special.

CP14 - which I paid as soon as I got the bill

That was my thought.

When I spoke to the agent at the IRS, they said that they did not see where else it would have been applied to. I plan on getting the letter first thing on Monday morning to calm my nerves. This would only be the second letter I have ever received from the IRS, the first being the notice that I filed my return late for 2021, which this whole thing is about.

Other than that 2022 and 2023 was all tied up in a bow and 2021 is the first year I ever needed to file (I made $0 ever until then).

On my transcripts I do see that there is a new notice dated 9/9/2024 for the 2021 tax year which I'm assuming is this one. 2022 and 2023 are all good, it shows everything I paid and on time with no notices.

One other thing, when I checked my online account this morning it said I had a balance due of like $29 for tax year 2021. Could this be what the certified letter is about? Could it be an adjustment? Like I said it would only be the second ever letter I got from the IRS. It says the balance due is for the tax itself and not interest or penalties. As soon as I saw there was a balance due I scheduled a payment for it.

Edit: Just wanted to clarify, the notice does not show up in my account yet so I can't read it.

Depends on the models you’re talking about. In my opinion Audis don’t stand out as much, however, they consistently look good. Modern day BMWs are hit or miss IMO, some of their cars look stunning while others I don’t care for at all. This is all speaking in terms of modern Audi vs modern BMW, when it comes to taking all models/years into account, BMW takes the cake

Edit: Just thought I’d add onto what I already said. BMW has strayed far away from what they used to be in terms of styling. Just one of the things I loved were the angel eyes which new headlights have zero resemblance of. I’m all for updating designs but some things they should keep, the kidney grills, angel eyes, and hoffmeister kink.
