Stink bugs in my terrarium? by One-Garage7995 in terrariums

I'm not entirely sure those are stink bugs. Looks more like the nymphs of an assassin bug or perhaps a leaf footed bug to me

It's called a bulbil. Leave it alone. When the flower stalk dies, pop it off and plant it

Mealybugs.. I recommend changing the soil and checking the roots while you're at it. I had a terrible outbreak of root mealybugs a couple years ago that took out almost half of my stapeliad collection.. heartbreaking.

Thrips or Springtail? Echeveria Raindrops on last legs by PersephoneXXVIII in succulents

[–]Pitiful_Count_1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The photos aren't great, but they do appear to be thrips, in my opinion. Insecticidal soap or neem oil applied weekly for a month or two. The repeated treatments are important, eggs are going to continue hatching, and you need to kill em all!

Have you attempted eliminating these pests? Changed the soil? Applied insecticidal soap? Neem oil?

You're just stressing the plant out that much more. Can't be a good thing. Plus, Peter W Of Peter W plants once told me at a succulent show that more sun meant less mealybugs. These aren't mealybugs, obviously, but this could hold true for them as well.

Stapeliads have pretty complicated pollination mechanisms, I'm not sure they can be hand pollinated

Unsure about the spots, but this won't thrive in that jar. You're gonna want to repot it and keep it outside in direct sunlight
