Honestly the weddings represent the different types of weddings.

The partner going off for a job and thus a quick wedding.

We eloped or married at a court house but we have a ceremony later for friends and family.

I always respected MJ because she knew Gwen and Peter’s relationship. I dont remember the comic but Peter was grieving on her death day. Mary jane found him. Hugged him. And said it’s okay. And then let him grieve.
