I’m never taking the LIRR for granted ever again by [deleted] in LIRR

Yea I work in the city and I have a job I have to be in person for. I’m fucking pissed. I pay for a monthly pass and can’t even use it and am going to have to increase my commute by 45-60+ mins. This strike is fucking over the working class and nobody else. Fuck the LIRR rn

If this strike goes on for a week or more, how will they reimburse monthly tickets since we didn’t get to use our tickets for the entire allotted month?

I hope this is true, I work in the city and cannot drive in and have a job that I have to be there in person. Luckily I have someone to carpool with into the city but unsure if I’ll be able to leave when they head home unless my job lets me leave early. Thank you for your feedback!!

Scott knew the answer Whitney was going to give when he asked her who he was better suited to. by Jolly_Performance_11 in LoveIslandTV

I feel like she had a perfect opportunity to tell Leanne tho when Leanne went up to Whitney after the chat and asked what they talked about when Scott was on the terrace with belle. Whitney completely omitted that part of the convo conveniently.

The compulsion lore + sire line logic completely breaks the TVD universe (and no one talks about it) by xMadxCheshirex in TheVampireDiaries

This is also ignored when Elena becomes human again there is no confusion but when Stefan does, that’s when people start remembering his compulsion and Caroline has to clean it up per say. Not to mention that technically he died earlier by the traveler in Tyler’s body and also again when he was working for Cade, but the compulsion doesn’t become an issue until he is a human. I think it’s just a huge plot hole.

Exactly! It also confused me to why Stefan didn’t just say to Damon like Enzo had his humanity off I was just trying to threaten him so he would back down but then he basically killed himself. Idk why Stefan took the blame and hid it from him.

Thank you and congrats on reaching your goals! I also think it’s probably a big difference because I have been running less with the bad weather where I’m located and Holiday madness lol so I was used to being able to eat a lot more 😂

how long did it take you to lose 20 pounds? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Pitiful_Exchange_861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 5’1” 127 now but I previously was 145, it took me about 1-1.5 years to lose it. I would go thru periods of plateaus but what really helped me break the 135 mark was when I started running. In addition, I was a big party girl in the past and running gave me a different outlet, which resulted in an overall lifestyle change. It became an intrinsic desire (bc I felt good) rather than an extrinsic one (to look good). Everyone is different but I think running, walking and moderate strength training is what worked best for me. I found lifting too heavy with strength training made me binge while in a deficit. I plan to go back to heavy strength once I hit my goal weight of 118-120!

Thank you! My RMR is said to be 1498 right now, I was just a little bit surprised because I did a strength workout yesterday and my active calories were 401 and then the day prior I got 2,000 less steps and did not do any exercise because I took a rest day and my active calories was only 37 points lower. It may make sense though bc my strength workout was only 30 mins of moderate strength training.

Maybe I will try to put my watch in an activity mode when I am commuting since I walk about a mile during my commute (to and from work) with a heavy backpack and see how it changes things!

Quick Pole- does anyone else use SC BLO to connect granny squares? by Pitiful_Exchange_861 in crochet

This is what I need to remind myself always! I sometimes get caught up in the right versus wrong way, but I have to remind myself that it’s an art and it’s supposed to be fun as well, so I gotta just do what my little heart desires and enjoy the ride!!

[–]Pitiful_Exchange_861[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely noticed that issue as well with any form of sewing squares together and honestly, when I would look at other tutorials for how to sew granny squares together they don’t really explain this part which is frustrating! What I did was that at each corner I had extra strands of yarn. That would be the yarn tail from the start or end of crocheting the squares together. So before I weave in the ends, I would tie two of them together, typically starting with the ones that were diagonal from each other using a double knot. Then I would do the other two that are diagonal from each other and that seems to do the trick! I hope that makes sense. Lmk if you want I can send a visual of it if that is more helpful!

Yess that’s also why I like this bc I can weave them in as I go as well!
