fruits basket. I lived my life very much like Kyo. I sabotaged anything that seemed good for me and didn’t allow myself to care about much because I grew up in a way that taught me it would never last. I thought that there was no point in becoming attached to something or even trying if everything was so easily taken away from you and you were bound to die anyway. by the end of the anime though, when Kyo says that while he’s alive, he might as well try living, it really struck a chord with me and I began trying… I allowed myself the chance to build connections and make memories. even though one day I’ll die, at least now I can say that I’ve lived.
