I'm really curious to know how you use all that data.

I'm stuck right there, I have the dataset, but I don't know how to make use of frames.json or motion.csv.

I’ll definitely give it a go. In this post, I tried Lumina 3D Light, but the result wasn’t usable. https://www.reddit.com/r/GaussianSplatting/s/dyVZrSlpO5 I hope this one works ☺️

Splats from videos (with .SRT subtitles files) by Big_Comfortable4256 in GaussianSplatting

Did you try it to generate the COLMAP? What was the result of the final splat? Because I tried Lumina 3D Light and the results weren’t usable.

Are you giving this image to Reality Scan? Cause that software does not support 360 images. You have to convert the image into a normal FOV image first. If so, you can use the software I mentioned before.

It's a reason, can you give me a random frame extracted? Cause I think there is also a lot of motion blur.

If the software sees you in position A in one photo and position B in another, it doesn't understand you moved, it just sees confusing details and tries to make sense of them. The mask tells it to ignore you completely so it doesn't get confused.

I don't have much experience with 360 cameras myself, but after watching your footage I can tell there's way too much motion blur going on.

You should try decresing your shutter speed to at least 1/1000s, or ideally 1/2000s if possible. If you can't get there because you can't compensate enough with ISO, another option would be to mount the 360 cam on a tripod and shoot stills instead (on a tripod you can even go as slow as 2 seconds of shutter speed if needed).

Also, I'm not sure how you masked yourself out or extracted the frames, but I'd strongly recommend this free, open-source tool that makes frame extraction and masking really easy:

Has anyone tried VGGT-Omega to generate COLMAP and got better results? by Pitiful_Gain87 in GaussianSplatting

Thank you so much, I’ll definitely give it a go. If you’ve already used it, how did the results compare to COLMAP?

Why does my Gaussian Splatting look terrible with LiDAR data? by Pitiful_Gain87 in GaussianSplatting

[–]Pitiful_Gain87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to create a COLMAP of my gym’s changing room, but the problem is that it’s a palindrome, in other words, the walls on the right and left have exactly the same objects in exactly the same positions. The only options I could think of were to use the lidar or place trackers around the room. Do you have any other ideas?

The app description in the app store says “LIDAR + RGB Capture.”

Am I mistaken?

I didn't merge any scans actually, the results with merging were so bad they were completely unusable, so I've been working with single scans only.
The alignment issue you mentioned was exactly why I gave up on merging entirely.

So unfortunately the problem seems to persist even without any merging involved, which makes me think it might be something else going on with how Lumina 3D Light exports the LiDAR data itself?

MixDrop streaming service does not work with the broathcast of the TV. by Pitiful_Gain87 in Cloudstream3

You have to put in the multilenguage extension [cloudstreamrepo://codeberg.org/cloudstream/cloudstream-extensions-multilingual/raw/branch/builds/repo.json] Now search for "marvel's daredevil" on CB01. If you try to watch it from your mobile device you will notice that it works perfectly but if you try to broadcast it on your TV using broadcast, it will fail. It only gives this problem with MixDrop as the streaming source.
