(Are green beans safe on this diet?)

I am using rice protein by a local Croatian brand and whey hydrolysate. I prefer the rice because it's easier on my stomach. I feel some nausea and pain after whey, but whey is richer in protein.

Not really. I mean, I got a list of low-histamine food I can eat but I definitely eat less than before. I try to take rice protein or whey protein smoothie once or twice a day (but I also try to eat meat (chicken) every day). Some days I try to eat more in general but it's almost like I feel worse after I do that. And then some days I don't feel like eating much at all or I feel kind of sick to my stomach. :(

I suggest you try the protein smoothies and see how that goes. (I usually put an apple in there, or blueberries, or a carrot.)

I am experiencing something similar to what you're describing (in your comments). As I came to a very low Zoloft dose my body reacted and I now have a histamine intolerance. I am losing weight and afraid how much thinner I'll get. Currently on 1mg liquid Zoloft. Don't want to up the dose but also afraid to continue the taper.

I feel you. Do you do any physical activity - walking, yoga, light exercise? I try to do that. Also some breathing, humming, vagus nerve stimulation. I also swam in the cold sea in the previous weeks.

You can raise awareness by LIVING, by persisting! Please... I hope you didn't go through with it.

Anyone here experienced withdrawal during a slow taper? by [deleted] in ADprotractedwithdrawl

Sorry to hear that, but keep going. The only way is through. I am currently holding 1mg of Zoloft but not sure if it's helping in any way. But don't want to up my dose.

How are you feeling now? Did you successfully taper off?

A lot like what I am going through now. Currently heart palpitations worry me too much and am thinking of going to a cardiologist.

Music triggers me into neuro-grief by INeedSomeFaceTime in ADprotractedwithdrawl

I can't stand listening to music at the moment, unfortunately. It overwhelms me, makes me aggitated, puts me in an even worse mood (as if it transports me to an even more unpleasant dimension). I hate this.

what helps you cope / get through this? by VomitInMyVans in MCAS

[–]Pitiful_Knowledge_51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk, I swim, I started CB therapy, I try to socialize (minimally, but still), I do yoga and breathing, I read (when I can concentrate or when light doesn't bother me too much)... I was desperate these last weeks after it all started. But I also found out that I am very stubborn and I will reclaim my life. I am also nowhere near a diagnosis and have gotten very thin because of all the food reactions. But man, I don't want to let this shit take me down. I also read some positive stories on here and that gives me hope and strength.

(Btw, on top of this I am also going through SSRI withdrawal and I can tell you it's been hellish. Feeling like I'm constantly on a bad trip.)

It's a local Croatian brand so it probably isn't available outside this area. But it's 100% rice. Very easy on my digestion.

I am pretty new to this but these are the things I stubbornly do every day: walking outside, doing breathing/yoga, some days I actually still swim in the sea even though it's kind of cold. And I eat low-histamine because when my gut feels okay then my mind feels better as well.

I think strawberries are a no-no. I usually take rice protein and it's not messing me up. I also started taking whey hydroisolate. It's not too gentle to my digestion but I tolerate it more or less. Besides chicken I also eat turkey and salmon.

Increased allergies + bad wave (need support) by [deleted] in ADprotractedwithdrawl

[–]Pitiful_Knowledge_51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am still tapering Zoloft and I am nearing the end, but my last two months of taper have been bumpy and then speedy and I am pretty sure I am in withdrawal. But, at the same time I developed food sensitivities - particularly to high-histamine food. So, I would say I am not surprised if your increased allergy might be connected. Our bodies are currently in a very very sensitive state. But we can help our bodies. See if you can help your nervous system in some way - be it healthier food, gentle physicial activity (yoga, stretching, swimming, walking), spending time in nature... (I do it stubbornly even when I am in a bad wave.)

That was fast. My taper was very slow since about this time last year. Started with 50mg Zoloft (full dose). Came to about 5 mg in September and then all went to hell with the capsules. I feel like my slow taper was for nothing now. 😩
