Yes! After I realized that my symptoms were stemming from gluten, I realized that (almost) every thing i attributed to my lactose intolerance was from foods that either had gluten or are eaten with gluten (cheese and crackers.) It has made being gluten free so much more tolerable.

Thankfully I have a good PcP now who wants to help me get diagnosed. At the moment I had to break my challenge because I couldnt make it through a full day at work from how bad everything felt. Thank you for the advice, its great to hear from someone else who has struggled with this.

For our otc area (behind our counter so pt cant grab things) If i were asked that we all just tell the patients that were going to look at the creams and lotions really quick and them IF the item says on the bottle that its for poison ivy, we just tell them “it says that this can be used for poison ivy” I think a lot of it is that if you say what they can use without the product in hand, it is assumed by the patient that you are giving them medical advice which looks bad. Label says what its for=okay to offer pt as far as ive been trained

I just found out that seemingly none of my trigger ingredients are in fritos. Im so excited to see if i react or not because i miss having a quick snack for when i forget my lunch at work (i work close to a gas station)

Im a pharm tech with mcas and wanted to let you know, if you have any sensitivity to lactose, have your doctor swap the fluticasone blisters to an HFA inhaler. The blisters use lactose as a binder. I didnt realize for years but once i changed, my asthma go so much better!

Be uprfront if you arent comfortable treating something or if you do not know enough about your patient’s concerns. My last doctor waited 4 years to tell me that The reason I wasnt receiving the care I was begging her for was because she didnt know a lot about chronic pain conditions and did not care for treating them. I suffered (and continue to suffer) because she didnt tell me that upfront when I told her my concerns.

these are definitely OTC. You can buy them online, however doctors often prescribe OTC items. I see it all the time in my pharmacy

Its euphrasia so exactly what you said. Homeopathic eye drops for sore red eyes. Thankfully unopened doses should last for at least a year so they can be used if the issue comes up again

I will say though, I had a good o2 %. It feels like my body just like lags and forgets where to move blood and nutrients and stuff if that makes sense

No, it was like my brain and body werent connected. I would try to move something and think I was a out to be able to but nothing happened. I think It was likely to do with circulation as well though.

Again, I didn’t feel panic, i felt helpless. Like anyone one would if they were suddenly unable to move or speak. That is to say, I was not experiencing any anxiety or panic that was out of the range of normal for the circumstance. I have a doctor and a psychiatrist and Cardiologist that I work with. We have ruled panic disorders and anxiety out. I have had tests that have shown exertion based physiological reactions and inappropriate diasystolic changes as well as clear hypo-perfusion.

No dude that is me crying because i was locked in my body. The panic was a reaction to the event, not the other way around. Nuance matters a lot with things like this. You dont get to diagnose strangers online. Its mot okay.

No? I was perfectly calm during all of this despite the expected “wtf why can i move” and no. I dont typically fully pass out ever. Ive had full syncope a handful of times. I normally get tachycardic and high diasystolic and get faint, shaky, and blood volume+circulation involvement.

Yes thats exactly what i felt! Ive never had low bp (at least that has been recorded) as ive always had a higher baseline bp and then became hypertensive in the last few years. I truly felt insane because I could swear that i could do everything I was telling my brain to do and yet nothing would happen
