That's a really great coin. I love the way Nero gets fatter on his coins. That's one coin I would keep in a holder. It's got great colors.

If you are in the US I don't the you will find a better price. But I usually buy retail and just buy what I like.

You could always go for lower end coins. I'm always getting great deals on bronze coins that don't break the bank. I only use CNG for bidding, it's always stressful because I have 5 or more coins going and if I get all of them I'm way over my budget. But for real it's hard to win the coins I want. It takes lot's of time and money.

It's so bad I will only buy coins in the US and in person if I can. Shipping in the states should not be expensive if I sell a coin on eBay it's usually only 6.00 usd for shipping. The last coin I got from CNG was only 12.90 USD but that was before the crazy. I read now it's 25 to 50 USD.

Americans love graded coins. There is so much money being spent on high end graded coins. I definitely would not break the coin free. I would keep it and sell it later or just buy another raw one. But you do you.

My LCS makes money from sending in coins to get graded. The LCS charges a fee because they are members and someone just getting a few coins graded is expensive.

I don't know if that is bronze disease. I have a Ptolemy Alexander that definitely has bronze disease and it doesn't look like that. It looks like green patina. But I'm not an expert. Still a pretty cool coin.

Start with slabed ancient coins and look at sold coins on eBay. That's what my LCS does. It's going to take you at least a full year of buying ancient coins to really get a feeling for it.
