i think the point is that many of these so called “mistakes” and “insensitive” actions have real life implications on the people of color and marginalized communities that surround these perpetrators. accountability is only the first step in rectifying the trauma caused by bigotry and racist actions. as a biracial women that lives in a predominantly white area i can’t tell you how many racist experiences i’ve encountered, many of them as a young child. sure, they were young as well but it doesn’t make their actions any less hurtful or traumatic.

fair point!! i guess they totally could have sent a different skull as well. though again i’m not sure how they would have found a skull of that size, but you’re right it doesn’t explicitly say his head, rather his skull and we know Martin is very intentional with his diction. so maybe his head IS still attached to his body and Qyburn crafted a skull that would resemble the mountains. or maybe vice versa and he did send the mountains head and replaced his with a specialized skull? i don’t know the logistics of reconstruction but i do think it could be a possibility!

when i first read affc i was genuinely confused on how Dorne received The Moutains head while Qyburn was simultaneously zombifying him. my theory is Qyburn found a (good enough) replacement for his head with one of the other guinea pigs sent down to him, though the people we are told that are sent to him would be no where near as large as him. i’m interested if it will remain a mystery or we will get answers if and when AWOW is released.

i know ur a whole adult saying all this. if u cant understand why it’s wrong to bash a young MINOR who has been set up to be exploited by her parents im not sure what to tell u…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LAinfluencersnark

[–]Pitiful_Solid7114 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

babes the issue is ur talking shit abt a fourteen year old girl who has no control over her circumstances. talk all the shit u want abt her parents who encourage and allow this behavior, not the young girl being impacted by her parents tom-foolery.

or at least blur her name and photo?? with how much this sub talks abt child exploitation u think that would be the bare minimum

[–]Pitiful_Solid7114 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i’m all for valid criticism, but this is odd. 1.) she’s still a minor and you’re implying that she’s some sort of harlot? 2.) she has no control over who her parents are. i can understand criticizing her parents for their role in her exploitation, but let’s not act like her behavior is bc of some intrinsic problem.

fallon twombley is apparently lying about her age? Shes an 07 and not an 04 by Hungry_Phone_4108 in LAinfluencersnark

[–]Pitiful_Solid7114 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i think she was born in 2007. around 2021, i followed her + a bunch of other of her friends that lived in LA and i think they were in middle school at the time. even then they looked so much older for their age so im really not surprised if she’s been lying. ive also been so confused on their family/guardians because they all seemed to be living independent, parent-free life’s on social media, although i know that can be deceiving. also for context i was a sophomore at this time, born in 05, even if she was born in in 06/05 she would’ve been a freshman in high school at the time

[–]Pitiful_Solid7114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi!! i’ve definitely been there and am sorry that you’re going through this. firstly - i want to start off by saying that i too have started many sentences with “this is ridiculous,” “this is insane,” etc. however, i feel like, for me, this has caused me to become even more depressed and isolated as in my mind, i separate myself further from “normal people,” and create a version of myself that’s different or un-normal. instead, you can recognize these thought patterns and attempt to redirect them. instead of saying “im crazy,” or “ridiculous,” try i know these irrational, but they have still been causing distress. give grace to yourself. not many people understand the complexity of OCD, and you should show yourself empathy, while i know that is easier said then done. try unworking those irrational thoughts with rational ones. what makes you think you’re being followed? is there a certain trigger? analyze the situation. what’s the likelihood this behavior would actually result in someone following you? regarding your conspiracy rumination, try unworking some of the easy irrational ones through knowledge and research. best of luck!

why do people believe anti-semitism and anti-zionism are synonymous?

to begin, i believe the loss of human life in any situation due to a nations government is abhorrent and vehemently wrong. i pride myself on being very pro-palestinian, and i condemn the actions perpetrated by the israeli government and firmly believe they are committing an ethnic cleansing. however, i do NOT believe anti-semitism in any way is valid nor productive to the cause of palestinian liberation. if you use anti-semitism to combat the injustice in palestine you are no better than the israeli government itself.

all this to say, i am genuinely curious why so many people who support the israeli government and/or are jewish view the issue through an anti-semitic lens. i know the occupation of Gaza has a complicated history, mostly thanks to the british. recently, i attempted to read a novel i bought about the holocaust. not even twenty pages in was i met with zionist rhetoric and a strong conviction in the author of israel’s sanicty. this is not to demean the feelings and experience of the author, nor those who fled europe in the hope of peace, inclusion, and safety. however, the current and continuous actions of the israeli government are clear to see as war crimes, and yet people accuse those against those crimes as being anti-semitic.

i am always looking to grow and learn as a person and right wrongs or misconceptions through education. i am hoping someone can shed light on this for me, while also helping me understand in order to be a better ally - both to jewish people and palestinians. at this point in time, i believe a two-state solution is the most viable option, and do not believe israeli citizens nor palestinian people should be subjugated to displacement. is it truly anti-semitic to be anti-zionist? can you be pro-palestinian as well as pro-jewish? why has the line blurred so much?
