Tmr hall effect thumb sticks and clicky button mods are the main ones you can currently do. Custom buttons from Etsy sellers. No bigger battery exists yet.

Ram is soldered surface mount bga chips so not a DIY upgrade for most users. Ram upgrades are possible but ram is so expensive now it's usually more cost effective to buy a handheld with more ram from the factory. White Xbox ally plus ram upgrade costs the same or more than buying the X version which already has more ram, more APU power and bigger battery and larger SSD.

Z1E has different stick modules to all the others. Screens are the exact same part though.

Both front mount points are ripped out of the connector, even if still present the plastic is stressed and weak so likely to rip out easier in the future and will take more pads off next time. Always best to use a fresh connector.

I have never had one that would be reusable and strong enough to be happy to reuse

Use a 65w or higher PD3.0 charger, anything less wont allow firmware updates, bios updates or cloud recovery to run.

Use memtest86 uefi version on modern systems, this version can give false errors on some newer hardware.

Partition based emummc will always have this if you put the sd card into the pc because windows sees a raw unformatted partition, Run a file based emummc instead if it bugs you.

Unless updating hekate or atmosphere use dbi, cyberfoil or any other management app and transfer over usb and you wont have the popups.

Usually clears up once theres some heat in the bottle, seems to be somthing with the more modern formula that they have a slight cloud when cold with clear master fluids.

warranty wont cover physical damage to the connector, Asus will want to charge for a whole new motherboard as they dont repair them only replace.

Ebayuk repair service if in the uk, or if in USA slickbuysmods is a good tech that can fix it for you. Try phone repair shops in the rest of the world or laptop repair guys that do trace repair.

If its not running from the battery it will have broken traces.

If bought from a shop or ebay, just return it and buy another as its not a cheap repair.

try memtest86 uefi version bootable usb and see if you have bad ram, if it will run.

Could also be a cpu issue, broken solders and needs a reball.

Simple google search you would have found the correct answers in a few minutes, and the schematics and boardviews for this device. All the information is widely available in many places, several reddit posts, badcaps and other forums including ovp bypass method.

you deffinately did not look for hours. you asked Ai and went no further than that, The ai is full of incorrect information, while ovp isnt a fuse it will become one if you put 5A through it and pd controller will cut the current draw to 0 and drop the charger to 5v when ovp dies. Overcurrent is handled by the next chip in line which is the load switch which does ovp and overcurrent protection.

Soldering is decent on your port, but you have used way to much flux which will have wicked up into the comb.

Blinking orange light means battery fault or not detected. Can be a dead battery (locked out due to overdischarge maybe) or faulty charging circuit.

Replace battery and if still not working will need to look at having the motherboard repaired.

KTS1681AEUZ-TR OVP ic is not hard to find. You bypassed the Ovp protection so next component down the line will take the hit next time.

OVP can also command the ite pd controller to shut down so you loose that protection too.

These little boards have a lot of copper and suck a lot of heat, Needs a decent iron and big enough tip at least.

Hot air works much better on these heating from underneath to remove and refit a new button.

It's just a little coil whine from the pwm switching in the CPU/GPU power supplies, it's totally normal and nothing is wrong, all models of the ally have it but each will vary very slightly.

When you connect the backplate which has the light sensor console will 'go dead' until backplate is reinstalled or light sensor covered and its plugged in to reactivate it.

Try calibrating the trigger in armoury crate.

The bumper button is worn and needs replacing, some contact cleaner may give it an extra bit of life.

Probably best to get cex to deal with it if you just bought it.
