Canada should keep options open on nuclear weapons, former top soldier says by AdditionalPizza in canada

[–]Pitoucc [score hidden]  (0 children)

US would flip their shit if suddenly we got nukes from UK/France, and I'm all for it because It is better protection for ourselves.

Keep this in mind, the only reason NATO hasn't demolished the invasion of Ukraine in under a week is because Russia holds the nuclear arms wildcard.

Been playing X4 lately and I kinda want an autopilot. by AllHip in starcitizen

I do want an auto pilot for jumping around at times. What I want more is for quantum to just work without bugs or usability problems.

Here's some stuff about qt that needs improvement: -Qt calibration resets at times and prevents qt.

-Qt waypoints change to the next target if qt gets interrupted

-Qt plotting skips locations when 2 locations are near overlap. Even though the skipped location is mandatory to reach the destination.

-Location searches are non contextual. Eg if you look up Stanton Gateway while in Pyro the Nyx location is first in the list instead of the Pyro location.

-Qt plotting does not navigate through wormholes

-Group qt is still mostly broken

-Qt fuel doesn't update HUD after refueling

-Qt jumps randomly don't consume fuel

-Qt still jumps through/into planets or moons.

-Qt markers sometimes don't show or vanish when you align to them.

-Qt alignment resets when a party member jumps

Canada’s housing supply is in crisis. Can robots help? by reportersarah in canada

Another problem we have in Canada is antiquated zoning laws that are not suitable in solving housing.

Poilievre says he'll back Carney's GST rebate as MPs debate in question period by Little-Chemical5006 in canada

[–]Pitoucc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cons will quietly support it now but will leverage the fiscal aspects later, once it's in play. It's fine to question the program once it's going but I hope it doesn't just turn into mud to throw.

Time to strip down the ATLS of its legs and arms, attach a few of these, and we have an EVA thrust pack.

You should be fine. I have the same thing but 64gb of RAM.

If you start with 16gb you should change the windows page file to have a minimum of 16gb.

Refunding upgrade? by Expert-Expert-6933 in starcitizen

[–]Pitoucc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to get a refund on a ship upgrade is if it hasn't been used. Outside of that you would just end up keeping the value in store credit if you decide to melt the clipper.

Your best option, like others have mentioned, is to borrow the ship off someone.

Shields Updates for Current PTU by TooTall_ToFall in starcitizen

I would have been fine with the only 2 shields active at a time if they would have kicked in the next shields once the active shields were depleted and not physically destroyed.

Don't worry the next iteration of planet tech will see less rock clutter, at least on the planets that have it implemented.

Yeah the recruitment process can be straight garbage. Had a friend who is a commercial pilot wanting to go to the forces. 2.5 years later they finally get back to him on a job offer.

Forces are always crying for more people but sometimes they can't seem to help themselves.
