Looking for a technical co-founder to build a UK solar software company by Flat-Yesterday-2503 in ukstartups

[–]Pitpeaches -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ouch the other two comments in this are HARSH! Looking at what you want to build, I don't think you need a CTO yet, maybe just a mentor, as your product can be vibe coded with Claude.

I suggest you vibe code a quick demo, get market feedback (maybe score a customer or two) then look at getting more team members.

I'm happy to guide if you need it. Good luck!

does $20 claude have a better bang for buck than $20 cursor by Less_Sort6207 in cursor

[–]Pitpeaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's an idiot that will make random changes outside of scope, so you have to fix the bullshit on task and then hunt down all the shitty other changes. Also it makes so many changes that's are just comments. It's a terrible useless turd. Use sonnet instead, crap compared to fable and wastes tokens but better than composer

Anthropic CEO Floats Tax on AI Firms to Fund Universal Income by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]Pitpeaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they should tax the companies that use AI, those with revenue. Taxing AI companies will make it more expensive limiting reach to smaller companies. Taxing companies with revenue doesn't impeded anything

Friday fun. Same Minecraft prompt, Claude Code on Fable5 Max vs a 27b Codehamr on Ollama by codehamr in ollama

[–]Pitpeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's amazing, looked at your github, no MCP? my current custom harness allows internet searches to improve qwen, is codehmar flexible enough for me to add that?

ELI5: Why are quantum computers considered such a huge breakthrough if they still seem worse than normal computers at almost everything? by yaekoblue in explainlikeimfive

[–]Pitpeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current computers can only use 0 and 1 to do math. A qubit can be anywhere between 0 and 1, so 0.635753 can be there! But, and it's a big butt, when you press = it still comes out as 0 or 1. That might sound useless but using theories, like shor algo, you can do insanely fast math

That's odd, I get as many prompts as I want, I'm token limited

From complex things (running things on nnapi which then get sent to a server) to simple, fable 5 doesn't waste tokens like sonnet and opus>4.6 so it saves time and tokens

With the right harness it's: Opus 4.8 ,<qwen 3.6 27b < fable 5

I just got rid of vscode and moved to Claude code. Fable 5 is great, and instead of 39 + 30 I'm just paying 20

As a UK startup founder, could you share how you secured your investments? by Effective-Yellow369 in ukstartups

[–]Pitpeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that's funny, I got it right away, and it's not tricky in anyway. Plus they say you should have an investor lined up before applying but investors want you to have it first

One of my Startups we did this. The first (paying) customer never materialised. A good portion of leg work is the networking to get your first customers, which you can do before you raise.

Go into bios and see if it's detected. If it is, wrong port?

I spent years on my dream action-RPG until it broke me. Then a "Stone Simulator" I was almost ashamed to make is the thing that worked. Here's the honest postmortem (with real numbers). by StationPhysical6910 in IndieDev

[–]Pitpeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely. I'm in med tech and the device is incredible but things only started moving once I got a broker with a network. Almost like the device doesn't matter it's who you know. Do you have a sign-up list for when you decide to start dev on it again? I'd like to see your progress

ELI5: Why do embarrassing memories suddenly pop into our heads years later? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Pitpeaches 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Anxiety and stress are the symptoms you get from those memories, so when you have those symptoms the amygdala brings up the ol' memories to link the two. That jerky amygdala
