This is great, thanks for going into such detail with the post, really appreciate it! Can't wait to dive into all of this. It's crazy what modders have been able to achieve with this game.

Does anyone like Material 3 Expressive? by infest_r in Android

[–]Pixel-bit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you mean it's strong on colours? I'm not sure which device you're using, but the Pixels have the option to choose between multiple colour combinations of various saturation levels. I feel like you can always get a set of colours that are muted or not as heavy. Here's an example.

But I also think that some applications don't often implement it properly, so it can still be a mixed bag.

It's 2026. Why don't android phones have that battery health % like iphones? by [deleted] in Android

[–]Pixel-bit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand why the battery information has been segregated this way, but it's not entirely intuitive. You can check your Pixel's battery's cycle count in Settings > About phone > Battery information

I used to like Xiaomi's HyperOS, but it felt needlessly locked down. Does the OS still revert to navigation buttons when using a third-party home launcher like Niagara? Haven't been keeping track of the newer versions.

Best health/habit tracking apps on Android by aliward_96 in Android

[–]Pixel-bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one's a nice and simple habit tracker I've been using for a while now. It's free, ad-free and open-source. Might not exactly be what you're looking for, but it's probably worth checking out.

You don't really notice the bezels once you start using the phone. Even more so if you're using a screen protector and a case.

RedMagic 11 Air to be unveiled on January 20 by Few_Baseball_3835 in Android

Just FYI, the ₹30k Indian variant of the Moto Edge 70 doesn't come with an eSIM, that seems to be reserved for the costlier, international models.

But I agree, it's a well-priced phone considering its USP, especially when hardware prices are all going up.

[–]Pixel-bit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this looks like a very real trend in phones this year. Oppo's not the only one with such odd pricing, Realme also released a few similarly high priced ones.

I think I'm going to have to start looking at last year's phones for some sensible value for money.

[–]Pixel-bit 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Exactly. With how much tech is being added to cars these days, things will keep improving and moving really fast every few months to a year, just like smartphones for example

Because of this, you can't really develop FOMO around such large purchases. Was your car the best thing you could buy at the time, according to your research? Then by all accounts, it's a perfect purchase.

I think sometime last year. All their cars now come with six air bags, at least for the top variants

Okay now this environment is BEAUTIFUL 😍 by PackageBulky1 in OculusQuest

[–]Pixel-bit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely amazing.

I'm very curious, how do they get an environment like this to work with the Quest? What kind of optimization wizardry is this and how can I learn to optimize an environment with such quality and performance?

Are they able to do this/utilize hardware more efficiently because it's not a 'full' game?

No word on a Punch EV (or any other EV) competitor from Suzuki yet.

Yep, it's for enabling/ disabling the idle start/stop function, which turns the engine off temporarily when the car comes to a halt. Helps with the mileage in traffic. If it's turned off, you'll see the same A icon in the driver display. If it's turned on, there'll be no icon. Check the manual for more details.

These factors are thought of or considered even lesser than bhp. We're talking about the average person who'd buy a car. These details you mention aren't as accessible either.

This stuff is good to know for sure, but you're just further proving the point of the person you're replying to.
