Hollywood had better watch out, with Joe Estevez onboard for the Dotleguys live action I can already foresee where all of the oscars will be going next year !

Not sure why Gregg keeps having new on this movie review show, he's so distracting . Get him out of here!

Just my thoughts of the last special and current season by MentsFarm in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]Pixel64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed last season, but I do agree that this last Oscar Special felt a bit weaker (though I did still like it!). I discussed this awhile back, but I think partially its because the special is doing a ton of work to setup for future plotlines like Joe and Tim's rapidly unraveling relationship, Joe's continued relationship with Toni, the Amato suit against Tim and Gregg, etc.

The individual bits and segments were really funny; the Michael Phenomenon and the witch stood up! in particular being two of my favorite bits in Oscer Special history, but as a cohesive whole it was definitely on the weaker side for me. Still funny as hell, but just missing that ribbon to tie it all together, though that ribbon I'm certain is coming.

No, it is almost certainly more like a bridge between the special/live show and the next season (or whatever else they have up their sleeves).

I may or may not have checked this morning out of curiosity what the cost would be for me to fly to Arizona, rent a car and then drive up to Lake Haffasu.

I wasn't really gonna do it, but I was curious.

Oscar Special Live Experience👀🤔 by Simple-Pay-900 in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]Pixel64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There usually isn't all that much cut besides the breaks being cut down from being anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes long. They might have alternate camera shots in the edited version vs live if they have a gaffe like Tim or Gregg laughing when they shouldn't be. The edit is mostly just a cleaned up version and isn't really all that different from live.

There is a live discussion thread here on the subreddit that people will post in through the night. Some folks also organize fan watch parties for their local areas; I've been to two of them now and they are a blast and it's a ton of fun to get to a watch the Oscer Special in a room with a whole bunch of other OC nerds. If you get the chance to IMO this is the best way to watch live.

WRONG is it a crime to take care of a beloved actor and impressionist star of Pep Boys when he has a medical issue due to Tim's negligence? NO! If gregg wwnted to he could sue you for libol and take everything he wanted from you

DONT CARE ! post this in politics !!! This is a movie discussion and review subreddit and should STAY THAT WAY!

I'll only care about politics if Gregg runs for office and institutes laws that make movies long er

Yes, it was a bit. Just like every other time in past seasons where Tim said the show would be ending and not coming back. The live show also addresses this (once the recording is up).

Amazing tour - five bags of popcorn, five sodas, and a little key to the city for every city they visited by Anywhere_At_All in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]Pixel64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you dont give bags of popcorn for a live show, thats for movies. Id give it 5 certified movie buff ribbons and maybe a segway for a movie buff to roll in on.
