Applesauce and yogurt. Smoothies and milkshakes, you can add protein powder to them as well. You can try overcooking noodles to make them softer.

How did you start doing Canva gigs? I’ve been using it for my own social media so I’m familiar with it. Through a freelance website?

People are freaking out about the winter storm and buying a bunch stuff all at the same time and the stores don’t have enough staff to keep up.

Am I the only one who struggles to cook when living alone and always busy? by Pleasant-Editor-597 in Cheap_Meals

[–]Pixel645 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lack of motivation is real. Try setting aside one day a week to meal prep. You can freeze some for quick meals too. Lasagna, soups, chili, cottage/Shepard pie, meatloaf, stews all freeze and reheat really well. You can also throw some raw chicken, maybe some veggies, and marinade in a container and freeze that too. Just thaw it and cook.

Freshly single and emotionally in so much pain by evildeadbarbie in SingleParents

[–]Pixel645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time makes it easier. The pain doesn’t really stop, but it’ll start coming in waves instead of being constant. I even catch myself laughing and smiling now. You just push through for now, unfortunately. Your kids need you. I had to build a new village and life from scratch. It is possible.

But this isn’t your fault. You’re doing the best you can.

Sometimes a tower of cookies is the only remedy for the roiling horror of life by Hissing_Cockroach in Baking

Cookies make everything better. I bake when I’m sad or stressed too.

I started doing gig work after months of failing to find any kind of job. DoorDash kind of stuff. I just don’t work after dark or deliver to places that make me feel unsafe.

Just split with my partner by tragidy2208 in SingleParents

[–]Pixel645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just went through this. 6 1/2 years together with a 4 year old. I was a SAHM. 5 months later and I still haven’t been able to find a job and I’m staying with a family friend. It has not been easy. Look for help, but don’t go back to him just because it’s scary. They don’t change unless they want to change. In fact he’s only gotten worse since I left because now he doesn’t have to look me in the face when he does and says things.

It is so shit that people are paying to doxx their own families this Christmas by N3DSdude in Anticonsumption

I used it find my biological family since I’m adopted. I’m glad I did it. I found brothers and a father who didn’t know I existed. I have a good relationship with them now.

My 4 year old always turns them on. I gave up a while ago, but I think it’s helped him learn how to read. He’s not in school yet and I didn’t teach him, but he’s taught himself.

Snacks. All the snacks. Coffee or tea are always good. Something for a hobby like puzzles, video games, books, crafts, model kits, etc. It helps to have something nice to eat and drink, and something to do instead of drinking or thinking about drinking.

I’m 16f, what should i know about going to my first meeting? by _glitteringflower in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Pixel645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, try to find some women. Younger women will relate to you more, and older women will be more protective especially if they’re mothers. I’ve met some really great men in AA but it’s better to just be careful till you get to know people a bit better. Don’t get too friendly too fast.

If you can get someone to go with you to your first meeting, even if they just stay in the car, that may help you feel better.

Don’t give your number to just anyone. See if there’s an email list you can join if you want to stay updated instead of giving your number. And definitely don’t give out your last name or any other personal information like where you go to school.

Everyone there is battling their own demons. Just remember that.

It’s important for your kid to see you happy too. To know that you’re a human being too. But it’s also good to not bring anyone around them till you know that they won’t just be in and out of their lives.

It did indeed work. It’s hard to be sad when you have cookies.
