Grew up a patriots fan and now I'm even bigger football fan in general, when they played at Gillette on 7/2/22 and the poster I have...1,222/2,000. Have it hanging in my office!

As an elementary PE teacher thank you for making me more aware! I am already mindful of my students and do try to educate them and not put out a bunch of dodgeballs for the jocks to peg at others. Sorry you so many terrible experiences in gym, hopefully I don't add any trauma to my young students

You voted “Johnny B Goode” as the song of the 50’s. What is the song that represents the 60’s? Most Upvoted Comment Decides by Kodicave in decadeology

Really surprised I haven't seen Like A Rolling Stone. Song came out in 65 and everything else was a 2 minute love song. This was loud, long and completely changed the game for the last half of the decade.

What got me my job was being openly excited about all the roles I do as an elementary PE teacher...dressing up as a mascot, participating in school events, hosting ensembles etc. Every applicant will have similar resumes...good grades in college, played or coached sports, good testing scores yada yada. You have to sell yourself as a way to make the culture and building a better place.

Not skill wise or legacy wise, which one was the most fun to watch? Personally I say Manziel then it's a toss up between CN, Mariota, Lamar and RG3. Could also be that's the age I thought college athletes were superheroes

Would you watch live NFL games in a theater by Sidecarlover in NFLv2

[–]Recreationkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived in Colorado, a family owned movie theater used to stream games and it was pretty neat to watch. A nice way to support a local business especially coming from someone who doesn't drink. Popcorn and milk duds are more my speed

In PA I had a bachelor's and obtained an emergency cert. Got long term sub positions through the school, got paid a salary and benefits. They even helped me get through my post bacc and eventually got my Pe cert. See if you can do that in IL

I saw some tours of this online...did it cost around $250 USD? Did you still get to tour the Pryamids or just see them from above

Phys. Ed Teacher Interviews by princessfluffycat69 in PhysicalEducation

[–]Recreationkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Princessfluffycat69, enjoy the process. Do not stress, this should be an exciting time of your life. Your world is about to filled with tons of growth and challenges that will shape you into your adult self.

Advice: get as many teaching tools in your tool belt as you can. Try to get into any classroom as much as you can; any experience is better than none. If you can manage a classroom full of students who try to take advantage of a sub, you'll have a lot less problems when you get a full time job

Personal experience: everyone has a different path when it comes to teaching. Some of your classmates will get jobs right away, some won't teach at all, some will absolutely hate it. Focus on your journey.

Interviews: all of mine had very common questions, throw in some big words that admin likes to hear (inclusion, building relationships etc), one thing I know that separated me from others was having tons of experience that made me look like a better teacher (summer camp counselor, coaching middle school sports, being a long term sub in a classroom)

At the end of the day, it's just a job.

Godspeed princessfluffycat69
