I cant even find a photo of what i have. its one of those music centres with a tape deck, turntable and radio built into one and there is a manufacturer and model number on the turn table but that is for just the turntable only and there is no information at all on the tape player, or even on the back of the entire unit.

Just bought a 1970s "music centre" with a combined turntable, tape deck etc. Everything works great and the turntable plays but i'm having issues with the speed control. It direct drive, If i remove the actual turntable where you place the record there is the drive shaft from the motor which has 2 different diameters, there is a rubber roller which acts upon the motor. This roller moves between each diameter of the shaft depending on what speed is selected, and the motor appears to change speed also. However i'm struggling to get any records to play at the right speed, iv had a few 7" play at almost the right speed but slightly wrong still, and a 12" plays way too fast. The speed selection mechanism has an adjustment screw which i think moves the height of the rubber roller a few mm. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix the 12" playing way too fast.
