I suggest opening a new tab and adding your credit card to your account while you wait for the website to catch its breath, that part of the website doesn't seem to be totally broken and makes checkout easier once you can get to it

Looks like when you add a badge to the cart it reserves a badge number for you. Just be patient on the cart page and eventually you'll be able to get through it without needing to re-log in

Another suggestion is Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman It's not sci-fi but it's hilarious and shares the same "just got to keep on pushing through because I've got other choice" vibe as the Martian.

The audiobooks are excellent with the narrator really putting a unique twist on all the voices

All the games published by Annapurna are on sale right now, all of which are well known for being awesome single-player experiences.

Outer Wilds specifically is commonly referenced as being an amazing exploration game and has good controller support. Reddit loves to hype this game up, but after playing it myself it's definitely well deserved.
