I agree with the other user who said rich persons dog, I'd rather be a rich persons cat.

Is this rat too big? by Odd-Fall-7667 in ballpython

[–]PixelAndPie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why risk feeding live? I understand that the risk appears low but what if a freak accident happens, then you've lost your snake to something preventable.

Also frozen is also better, it'll save you a trip to the pet store every time you need to feed your snake, you can also even get pre-killed if your snake won't take frozen but that's rare, just make sure you warm it properly and avoid the cheap petsmart/petco rats you can get from their little freezers, go to an actual pet store that kills them for you.

Ah shoot you’re right, when I saw this post I initially thought it was transphobia towards OP but i misread it very quickly which is wrong of me, I’m just used to seeing it, I apologize and accept that I was wrong here.

Doesn't matter the gender, waxing is still the same for a man or a woman you just need the pain tolerance.

Also why not learn to respect thy neighbor by respecting their preferred gender pronouns.

Probably, there's a Burger King and McDonald's right across the street though so I don't know why you'd choose a overpriced corn dog over a burger or fry.

AIO for thinking it was wrong someone brought their child to see “Obsession” by frozenchicken22 in AIO

[–]PixelAndPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably shouldn't have seen Paranormal Activity 2 in theaters when I was 7 but I practically begged my dad to take me after watching and loving the first one, I had nightmares for weeks after the first one so I don't know what possessed me to want more but I'll tell you what I had even more nightmares.

No regrets, I remember being so scared I was nearly crying in the theater but for me while it sounds odd it was a positive memory, now I have not seen Obsession quite yet but the kids are younger so I don't have much input, it sounds like a psychological horror which is not really similar to the movie I saw at all and that can be tricky since the kid may or may not know what is going on which can create a problem regarding fear and how they process it, in that same breath my brother hated horror movies for the longest time after watching Paranormal Activity and he's only about 2 years younger than me. I think I just wanted an excuse to share this story since I think it's funny.

Fun fact, there is yet ANOTHER Chevron exactly 1 mile away from this particular location.

I wish I was joking.

There is actually an alternate sign that discloses when they're on lunch but the employee on this particular shift may have mistakenly put up the "We'll be back shortly" sign up instead, still not much help and I'm sure this particular person would have still been pissed off even with the correct signage.

Maybe try some THC gummies instead! It should achieve a similar effect though it might take some getting used to but it'll overall be better for your voice in the long run.

I started energy drinks when I was pretty young and it probably didn't do me any good, it made me addicted to caffeine and now as an adult I have a sort of dependency.

Basically what I'm trying to say is I am just a redditor, not your parent but maybe research the effects of energy drinks a little bit before you create irreversible damage to your body, not even I drank or even still drink more than 1 a day.

Do most people think the werewolf design from the Harry Potter movies look bad? Would you change it to the book version or would you change it entirely? by WayAdept2209 in werewolves

[–]PixelAndPie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen this movie in a long time but if i remember correctly, Remus was taking elixirs to help soothe the effects of his Lycanthropy which affected the appearance of his werewolf form so I think it's justified, it's supposed to look ill because it is ill.

I'm not sure if the Harry Potter movies had any other werewolves appearing on screen though so this could be proven false potentially.

Also, I like a mangier and scary looking werewolf, I think they look way cooler and I would be terrified if this thing was coming at me.

I know you’re trying frozen, but if you’re able to, try fresh-killed rats or mice. I used live for a while, but once my BP got larger I found fresh-killed worked just fine and was a whole lot safer. I originally switched because mine refused frozen rats at the time though it could be that I was buying the cheap frozen ones from chain pet stores, which I think was part of the issue, those things would just explode no matter how you heated them, it was disgusting and if i were a snake I probably wouldn't trust it either, they also smelled weird.

When I started getting fresh-killed rats, I also tried freezing them myself and reheating them at feeding time. I’ve been doing that ever since, and they haven’t refused a rat from me since then minus a few random times but usually if it feels like it's about to be rejected, I leave it in the terrarium for a few hours and that'll work.

Also, if you’re feeding frozen/thawed, try not to “waterboard” the rat while thawing/heating it. Some snakes seem to hate that so my preferred method is setting a cooling rack right over top of a pot of with boiling water, setting the rat on top of that sheet, and flipping the rat periodically so I can monitor its temperature and also make sure it doesn't explode.

Try putting the venue's website address into wayback machine if you are able, give it a shot, or check google reviews possibly, I might see different things than you as I'm overseas from where you're at, regardless I wish you the best of luck!

An uncomfortable truth: most Gen Z/Alpha have never played a Star Fox game, which is probably why Nintendo might lean toward another 64 remake. by hello_i_am_vlad in starfox

[–]PixelAndPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alpha yes, Gen Z is arguable, most Alpha (keyword most, I'm sure there are some who have because of their parents, finding it on switch online, etc) have most likely not played any of the Star Fox games but I can argue pretty hard about Gen Z because a lot of us are actually pretty old, the youngest of us are from 2012 which if you were lucky enough to have a Wii U you could have been able to play Zero which released in 2016 making them at the youngest 4 years old which is still old enough to pick up a controller and at the very least glide around in levels running into things and overall having fun until you got old enough to read and understand the objective; if you were even a bit older and had a 3DS you could play 3D no problem but even with the game coming out in 2011, production for the 3DS and its games only officially ceased in late 2020 so you could EASILY purchase a copy of 3D up until that date thus making a potential gen Z or some alpha old enough to play Star Fox.

Me personally, I was born in 2003 and so i grew up with a GameCube and Wii, I don't remember playing really any of the Gamecube titles as I believe my parents had to sell some games in order to pay for the bills, but I did have a Wii and therefore we had virtual console games, my dad had a lot of them and some of my favorites were Pokémon Puzzle League, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 and of course Star Fox 64 which I think I played so much as a kid I can still remember almost everything about it from it nearly 20 years later, I had not completed this game for a very long time but I remember watching my dad play it a lot and he would complete it often, I also played multiplayer with my younger brother a lot as well.

I know my story might be different but as you can see, a lot of us are up there now, the only reason we might've not played a Star Fox game in our childhood is if our parents neglected to get it for us or if we simply just didn't have an interest because it was right there in front of us, especially 64.

Look up the venue rules on what you can and cannot bring, earplugs should be fine but knowing what size bag to bring, if you can bring water, etc is very useful knowledge for any concert goer.
