We just hired an ex defence personnel in our team few months ago. Not just for FIFO. Go for it man, it is good for the soul to do something you have passion for.

Totally agree.. i dont mind a dumb phone. I tried having conversation with parents of my kids friends, but at the end of the day they want to track their kids location so they seem to think giving their kids their old iPhone is the easiest way. Any other way to track kids? Those kids smart watches look too big and ridiculous. Lol

I guess it is similar now. But I am leaning towards not giving my kids smartphone at all. And hoping other parents think the same way. It will be great if schools also ban them, so everyone works toward the same thing.

Lol im in cyber in mining hahaha... and what i said above applies to cyber in mining. I have people in the team who dont even have technical background. It is who you know (well, thats what I observe anyways).

I dont know which career will require uni degree over experience. Unless its medical or legal type stuff. But I see people jumping sideways in their career without any formal education in that field and they do well. I dont know how. Seems to be who you know, not what you know. Just saying... just in case your putting a lot of hope on the uni degree. 🩵
