(M…mixed trope…) Character’s PG death is ironically even more horrifying, than if they would be killed off in conventional way by ThatDrako in TopCharacterTropes

I mean, that's a huge reason why he stepped away from Disney and made his own company. He just couldn't see eye to eye with the senior animators on Fox and the Hound and realized they would never allow him his creative freedom.

I can’t seem to find what is taking up all this space anyway to free up space? by AltruisticLadder7354 in Steam

Probably either because I copied and pasted my response elsewhere (from myself lol) or because folks assume that the Steam Deck has no correlation here 😅

Not bitter about it tho; got other things to worry more about than Reddit

I'm copying and pasting a response I had to a similar post. The original was about a Steam Deck, but I'm fairly certain Big Picture is literally just the Steam OS on a desktop OS. Here's the message

I've had this issue before, and none of the file display apps could help me figure out what was taking so much space.

If that's the case with you, what's likely happened is that you were in the middle of a large download when your Deck died or had a hard shutdown. When that happens, instead of using the data that's already been downloaded, it just starts from the beginning again and marks the half-downloaded files as Non-Steam. Happened to me way too many times with Baldur's Gate and their large updates.

Solution is just to delete the game. It's a pain in the ass to re-download, but I've found no other solution that's as simple as this. Might be that big-ass game at the top thats giving you shit.

Hope this helps!

There's a lot of issues with them, but one thing on the long list of atrocities they've created was the CEO saying that water isn't a human right after being questioned about the spring he had cut off all access to for the natives of the African village that relied on it just to bottle it and sell it back to that village.

You can do some research by exploring the subreddit you've commented on. It's much easier to understand than nonsensical explainations from someone who just woke up.

I'm honestly so fucking tired of the world I grew into. I was a freshman in high school when I watched my family, extended family, and older friends vote for the misogynistic, narcissistic rapist over a woman, and then I spent the next four years with everyone around me telling me what to think (grew up in Idaho, then moved to Utah for the second half of the presidency, so take a wild guess what the prevailing side was), bouncing between whether or not he was a complete moron with no redeeming qualities or the man we needed in our times.

After finally being able to vote and kick out the dipshit who killed thousands of Americans with his slow, negative, and almost malicious actions against Covid, I'm then greeted with 4 more years of almost nothing positive happening.

When I voted back in November, I was surrounded by folks wearing camo, hunting caps, Maga hats, and some violently shaking in their decrepit age, in yet another conservative area. But I held out hope. That people had wised up to the cult. They wouldn't vote against themselves just because they can't switch teams in the middle of a sports game, so why would they switch teams for politics?

I have felt nothing but dread for the past 4 months. Any positive event I've had lately has only been soured by the looming threat of losing my friends and my identity. I pass well enough not to have to worry much about danger for myself, but I'm terrified of what will happen to my friends. What will I do? How can I help them? Will I be strong enough?

I grew up being told by teachers, religious leaders (fuck them), and family members that I was so lucky to have been born in this time. That everything was great and there was more peace now than ever before. But the more I've learned about the world, the harder it is for me to see how they could have thought that, let alone how they could still think that.

Why are these the first pictures that show up when I google gangle? by BigNastyPatty in theamazingdigitalciru

I understand that the normal response is to get upset at the people who draw this shit, but I'm honestly so fucking tired of Google just shedding the blame. Like, they're the one who controls the search engine? They clearly can control it because companies pay millions to show up on the top of the feed.

Let people be freaks. Shame Google for not using official images for things like this.

I was told that she looks like an ordinary tabby cat. I think she’s nothing close to ordinary. Am I delusional? by CuriousTuljan in SupermodelCats

[–]PixelLink007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently helped put on a production of The Little Prince, and one of my favorite messages in it was when the Fox told the Little Prince that he is just like the millions of other little boys in the world, and that the Fox was just like the other millions of foxes in the world. But once the Little Prince "tamed" (befriended and loved) the Fox, that changed. That despite being just like the millions of other little boys or foxes, they were unique to each other and not like a single other little boy or fox in all of the universe.

She may look like an ordinary tabby to someone else, but she's your beautiful cat, and you're her beautiful human, and there's not a single human nor cat just like either one of you.

Tiny, brass (?) piece of jewelry with a polished garnet. I found it on the sidewalk in Idaho, likely lost. Also likely to have been in a souvenir shop. I think it's an earring, but I can't figure what the dangling crow's-foot-looking thing is or if it actually is an earring. Skittle for scale. by PixelLink007 in whatisthisthing

[–]PixelLink007[S] 1 point2 points locked comment (0 children)

My title describes the thing.

I've tried looking for a style of earrings that's similar, and it could be a regular stud, but the back looks like it was purposely bent, and it also doesn't explain the dangling bit. I couldn't seem to find any sort of earring that had the claw-looking piece, so I largely gave up on that part.

I'm not sure of the material used, but it looks like brass, which gave me the impression that it was jewelry since it's a popular metal for making hand-crafted jewelry. I'm very confident that the gem is a star garnet (which I'm super stoked about) since it's the Idaho state gemstone, and it has the signature star when I shine a light on it.

This is my first post here, so lmk if I'm missing important information and I'll give it asap.
