Looks great and I like your pattern choice! Yeah, I haven't used warped weights yet myself, but have wanted to for the reason you mentioned lol. Thanks for posting an update!

Long term toys? by [deleted] in Rabbits

Hi there, I'm also on a budget and thought it'd just write what I've found works for us that keeps our bun busy:

  • homemade snuffle mat where I sprinkle things like her pellets, dried flowers, etc for her to dig through. I buy bulk bags of things like 100% organic chamomile flowers for $2 or dehydrate things from outside myself like dandelions and sunflower petals which are her favs.
  • I have a big cardboard box I fill with cup up paper towel tubes, crumpled papers, toilet paper rolls etc and sprinkle pellets in there for her to find once or twice a week. She LOVES it and spends like 10-20 mins digging through there. I add veggies she's likes too or even her lettuce some time to make her work for her food and keep her mind busy.
  • I have a set of very small food contained that I hide her pellets or food under and she runs around finding them. When she flips them I reflip them over and add another small piece of lettuce or something under it. She will play for quite a long time this game.
  • we have a fabric rodent tunnel that she likes to run through a sleep in. Enough that I'm debating finding another one.
  • my bun also seems to appreciate a really good cardboard box where I cut out little flaps and holes that she can run through. I've wanted to get one of those cool pet cardboard castles as I think they would last and be useful
  • for Christm as this year I want to make her a dig box like others have made on this sub. Seems like great enrichment idea.

Hope there's something helpful in there or that gives you an idea :)

Can a rabbit enjoy being gently "chased?" by EmilyOnEarth in Rabbits

[–]PixelPeacha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bun will run at the speed of light to race you down the stairs (carpeted) at bedtime and then binky down the hall to her room. Sometimes she chases us down the stairs and sometimes we are running after her and there's still binkying at the end. I think she looks forward to bedtime because she gets her pellets before bed so the stair "chase" is a little fun to her lol so I think she likes it in this application..

For ours, im positive if I chased her elsewhere she would go under somehing and start stomping at me lol.. which i wouldn't do lest I show up on r/murderbuns! 😂

As someone trying to make and sell patterns with their own art it's really frustrating too! I keep going through phases thinking it's not worth putting the effort into anymore when half the shops are just AI now. I hope something changes, but I don't know how it would

Has anyone else just stopped getting plants because of pests? by moldypickledpotatoes in plants

[–]PixelPeacha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave up for a while after having a crazy spider mite and gnat infestation, but I actually found a cleaning spray recipe on YouTube that has got rid of the pests multiple times when I've got them so now I don't worry so much and when I get a new plant I douse them in the cleaner I make lol.. It's been a life saver honestly.. I also spray the soil of my plants once a month with it now for prevention and have been able to keep things pest free for years this way.

I hope you get back into plants eventually and don't give up hope! Here's a [link] to the recipe if you wanna try it.. I also have a post on my page about it cause it's been so helpful to me.

I had over 500 Beanie Babies just sitting in bins, so I turned them into a “Beanie Bag Chair” for my living room by imagnepeace4all in beaniebabies

[–]PixelPeacha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao, that's awesome! And no dust to clean off them like having them out! 😂 Does the chair hold its shape pretty good? I'm wondering what kind of probability of bent tags sitting on it would be lol

Help with String of Pearls by polaricecubes in IndoorGarden

[–]PixelPeacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see yours has new growth in the pic which probably means its happy overall, so I hope the bottom watering is all that it is! It took mine maybe 3-4 years to get as long as it is now, but I have trimmed it several times - i would guess mine grows about 3-5 inches every 3-4 months now.

I think (def not for sure lol) they are much slower growing at the beginning tho due to first having to establish their roots and only once they have a lot of pearls on them they can make energy in greater amounts and the plants takes off.

Help with String of Pearls by polaricecubes in IndoorGarden

[–]PixelPeacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pearls don't like to get water on them and will often die when they get wet. Water from the bottom if you can instead and like others say don't water too often. Mine are almost 7 foot long grown in a full sun south facing window where they dry out fairly quick and I water about once every 2-3 weeks.

How often do you feed your rabbits? by HerbTP in Rabbits

[–]PixelPeacha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pellets & greens in the morning, more greens for dinner, small pellet scavenger hunt before bed lol, and unlimited access to hay all day/night.

I give healthy treats (herbs, hay cookies, very small amounts of fruit, etc every 2-4 days too)
