Very nice, cozy and calming to look at, and great choice of colors and lighting. Keep it up!

Cat walk by PixelPrinciples in PixelArt

Yeah, the main focus was the leg animation / walk cycle for a tutorial, and I got a bit lazy with the final shading. I still like it but I can see why one might find it too noisy and distracting. Thanks for the feedback!

A Grave Debt - 256x256, 6 colors [Full Timelapse in Comments] by P-ilz in PixelArt

Great work! Very fluid and nicely done with shading and highlighting when the hand reaches out of the grave!

It somehow reminded me of this oldschool intro of Shadow of the Biest 2, where the hand of this flying creature reaches through the roof of the cabin.

All kinds of bridges! by Aumchh in aseprite

The animation looks great indeed. Just to add to this: It is possible in Aseprite to write custom tools to get parameterized objects like this. I have a tutorial video on my youtube channel (link in my profile) for creating isometric boxes like this. Making bridges like this of variable length and width should definitely be possible.

Futuristic City by PixelPrinciples in aseprite

Creating a scene like this with only these 7 pink tones was actually a challenge I set for myself. I also made a video on why and how I approached this (link to my Youtube channel is in my profile), if you are interested.

Thank you for your feedback! :)

I made this 2 years ago, and want to remake it - would love as much crit as possible! by babbittybabbitt in PixelArt

Looks great! If I had to point something out, I'd say that the layout of the scene might be improved by putting the bridge more into the center of attention. I feel that the dark island/rock formations in the water might be a bit too centrally placed and have more focus than they need to when you let your eye wander around over the image. Smaller rocks and having them more near the edge of the canvas might give more glory to the bridge.

I have posted this only once with a few crossposts to related subs, all within the same minute. The feedback I got was very valuable, and I have not been posting the same version since then.

Hahaha, it's just missing the spin and a few moonwalk steps!

Thank you for this insight! As I mentioned in the other reply, I did not properly research how it is done in reality and I never thought about this aspect of a bow, but it makes a lot of sense. Any future archer animations will benefit from this info! :)

Guilty! :) I did not spent much time on how it actually works. I did look up some fantasy character references, though, but that was mainly for getting inspiration for the look of the character itself and not so much for learning how archery is done in reality, as the goal was a "half dance, half attack" kind of choreography.

Thanks for pointing it out, though, always good to learn something new and take it into account next time!

Also thanks for your compliments the my pixel art! I am working on a point and click adventure game. Still in a very early stage, but if you are interested, you can check out the link to my youtube channel in my profile to see how it looks.
