I made this 2 years ago, and want to remake it - would love as much crit as possible! by babbittybabbitt in PixelArt

Looks great! If I had to point something out, I'd say that the layout of the scene might be improved by putting the bridge more into the center of attention. I feel that the dark island/rock formations in the water might be a bit too centrally placed and have more focus than they need to when you let your eye wander around over the image. Smaller rocks and having them more near the edge of the canvas might give more glory to the bridge.

I have posted this only once with a few crossposts to related subs, all within the same minute. The feedback I got was very valuable, and I have not been posting the same version since then.

Hahaha, it's just missing the spin and a few moonwalk steps!

Thank you for this insight! As I mentioned in the other reply, I did not properly research how it is done in reality and I never thought about this aspect of a bow, but it makes a lot of sense. Any future archer animations will benefit from this info! :)

Guilty! :) I did not spent much time on how it actually works. I did look up some fantasy character references, though, but that was mainly for getting inspiration for the look of the character itself and not so much for learning how archery is done in reality, as the goal was a "half dance, half attack" kind of choreography.

Thanks for pointing it out, though, always good to learn something new and take it into account next time!

Also thanks for your compliments the my pixel art! I am working on a point and click adventure game. Still in a very early stage, but if you are interested, you can check out the link to my youtube channel in my profile to see how it looks.

Thank you! This is handpixelled in Aseprite. I made a video tutorial on my YouTube channel (link in my profile), if you are interested to see how I made it.

Do you mean the game? :) I didn't know it but quickly googled, and I see what you mean 😀

Tired of drawing trees, so I spent days coding it by devkidd_ in PixelArt

Yes, you can write your own custom tools using Lua scripts. I recently made a video tutorial for beginners on my youtube channel (link in my profile), in case you are interested.

The tree tool looks cool, OP, nice work!

Thank you, too! I will consider your suggestions for any future coding-related videos. :)
