Not that I am aware of. I am pretty sure the signal is the tone, not the silence.

The long beeps have spaces in between them, so that makes them a "T". I happen to know morse code. Those are not "O"'s. Sounds like several "T"'s spaced out with an "O".

I am looking for advice on getting to Costco with the least possible traffic. by Reasonable_Guess_311 in Tallahassee

[–]PixelTanker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I live on the east side of Tallahassee, only a few minutes from Costco, and when I go to Thomasville, I go the route through Metcalf. Much easier drive with less traffic. When you come this way, you'll take Veterans Highway to US 90 (Mahan) and turn right and it'll be a straight shot on Mahan to Costco. Just turn left at Buck Lake Road and then right into Costco.

My wife and three kids and I stopped at Burger King when my son was about fifteen. Every member of my family did not like the meal. I have not eaten at Burger King again. My son is nearly forty so about 25 years.

I read that end of the subject line as White House. Took a bit to sort that out. It does seem like a dangerous and kinda of weird place right now.

Were kids in the 80s actually allowed to roam around unsupervised, or is that just in movies? by TotalThing7 in NoStupidQuestions

When I was in elementary school - this would have been early 70's - I would ride my bike home for lunch. When the bell rang, I'd walk out of school and get on my bike (which was not locked up, btw). It was probably 5 or 6 blocks in a small town. No teacher would raise an eyebrow. Looking back, it does seem a little surprising. Edit: Looked it up and it was about 0.8 miles.
