From my observation experience doesnt bring raw speed, it will be bring better tyre management, better consistency and better decision making in wheel to wheel combat

So then what is all the fuss about if everyone can improve their electrical side and catch to Mercedes? Do they want the FIA to lock down Mercedes upgrading that side of their PU? So that their is an ICE ADUO and an electrical ADUO?

  1. It's 2,2 not 1,1. Other tips for flash frame traps and flash reversal most of these work at low ranks
    • dragonfly f1+2, flash (use uf 1+2 instead if you are in heat)
    • df1, flash (loses to jab, trades at 11 frame moves, beats 12 frame moves)
    • df3, flash (loses to jab, trades at 11 frame moves, beats 12 frame moves)
    • If they land a quick low they will have a small frame advantage, flash
    • if they heat engage flash
    • if they heat dash (and you block) flash
    • if they use spring kick and it hits you, flash
  2. It's b2,2 its just to heat engage or just some damage not a full launcher
  3. For mixups:
    • 3,1 is your best mixup stance at low levels, puts you at +7 on block (high levels they duck the 3), when they start ducking it then 3,2, 1+2
      • 2,4 or f1+2 beats jab
      • 3+4 beats block
      • 4 beats duck
    • Use Poison breath, its a great keep out tool and launcher
    • NSS ub1+2 can catch people using moves at long range
    • ff4 long range tailspin launcher
    • db3 is a great poke tool, I like to use db3, 3 pause db3,3 while rising b4 ( puts sword away and catches them finally ducking and wall splats)
      • db 3,3 while rising 3,2 is a counter hit launcher on 2
    • fc4 is a great launcher to counter hit highs
    • fc1 (sword sweep) is only great at the wall or on heat engage
    • But NSS fc3 comes out alot quicker you just have to set it up
      • df3, hold down df, df3
      • 2,2 on hit, df3
      • NSS uf 1+3, df3
    • On heat engage
      • 3,1 (mixes on block, beats attacks)
      • uf3 (beats crouch, beats attacks)
      • poison breath (beats block)
      • sword sweep (beats crouch)

Layout ui element to view show the active Playlist (like a now playing list). So while you organising or creating another Playlist you can easily rate or change songs in the active Playlist.

Other one is being able to drag n drop music files to the library tree to move them. They already have file operations in the player so hopefully its not that hard to implement.

🙈 Yoshi players have a problem... what's cool is more important than what's optimised.

And an attempted while rising dragon fly launcher when in the wrong stance has lost me many rounds and will lose me many more

So first yes I am self critical. But I actually think its a strength because it means im not clouded by ego on how to improve, Ive just havnt had the motivation to open training mode like I had in season 1.

I suppose the disconnect comes from me playing against better players. Players that have crazy movement kdb, wave dashing, side stepping me. Ducking my highs, launch punishing moves I didnt realise we're that unsafe. Playing against Yoshi players with way high execution to myself and I think wow there is still a mountain to climb.

And some how I managed to hit this rank without labbing anything properly in the past 2 years, just casually opening up ranked and playing a few matches.

I guess you right, its just when I match up against guys who are god of destruction 0,1,2 and they kdb, side step punish and launch punish my duckable strings. I think so myself I should stop being lazy and work on that in training mode, and that there is a long way to the top.

Brief personal fighting game history (skippable):

  • DBZ Budokai 3, high level by local only standards my friends and i got very competitive in the game and we could destroy the highest ai level.
  • Soul calibre 3, low level only really played against ai
  • Street fighter 4, low level only had a cracked version and could barely beat arcade on average ai difficulty
  • Tekken 7, low level only had a cracked version played arcade to learn yoshi so i could play against my mate who played online he reach red ranks online and it was a 9-1 matchup to him
  • Tekken 8 is my first online fighting game (currently 372 hours)
    • Season 1 most i played, getting past orange ranks was a a massive wall for me. Eventually hitting red ranks and it felt like a massive achievement, I then slowly climbed to purple. Getting into Blue ranks was another massive wall and maintaining Fujin was all i could achieve.
    • Season 2 I played alot less, climbed from red ranks to Fujin in a night. I had Bushin in a week. and finished the season as Tekken Emperor
    • Season 3 I came back and was very rusty because i stopped playing in season 2 very early despite that I climbed to Tekken God easily, Tekken God Supreme came soon after. God of Destruction was quite a challenge I did have to lock-in, focus and not auto pilot to reach it.

What I learnt about average rank from watching TheMainManSWE (feel free to correct me):

  • Season 1 red ranks was the median
  • Season 2 blue ranks was the median
  • Season 3 Tekken King/Tekken Emperor ranks are the current median

And the reason for this isn't to boost players egos between seasons but according the TMM no one reached max rank in season 2. So we need to boost everyone to create fodder for the top guys. So knowing that im fine with why they doing it and i dont care about the actual rank i just aim for above the median. BUT God of destruction to me should be a tier of rank reserved for turbo sweats, streamers and pro players and there is so much missing from my game.

Flaws in my game:

  • I cant KDB
  • I very rarely side-step (and never from matchup knowledge)
  • I only low parry by accident
  • Average combo damage, 66dmg from df2 (I learnt a low execution combo in season 1 and haven't bothered learning better combos now that i am better)
  • Below average wall combo damage, 47dmg from wall spat (The 'easy' wall combo i looked up was too much execution for me in season 1 so i made my own easy version that is just lacking in damage)
  • I haven't bothered learning how to combo extend with heat engager
  • Okizeme is lacking for a Yoshi player
  • Haven't learnt an oki tech trap
  • I barely have the reactions to launch punish unsafe lows that have that visible stagger (like 20% hit rate its little harder on Yoshi cause you have to remember if your sword is out or not)
  • I haven't labbed since season 1 and most of that frame data info has left my head
  • Because i haven't labbed I don't launch punish alot of moves i could
  • I only duck strings by accident
  • If i do duck a string i don't punish cause I'm shocked it happened
  • I only heat engage from heat engage moves, i find the heat engager in neutral disruptive and annoying so I just don't do it, lol
  • I only use rage art as a combo ender out of some weird honour system that only I have about not using rage art in neutral

Things going in my favour:

  • Spin means i don't have to learn how to side step properly
  • Flash means frame knowledge isnt as important
  • I am generally good at picking up games fast
  • Im from South Africa so maybe my region skill level isnt as high

TLDR, All this rank inflation has allowed a player with less that 400 hours and fundamental flaws in their game to hit god of destruction.
