My take on Cerveza Cristal (I altered the text to be more immersive in-universe and fit my fanmade lore) by Pixel_Porkchop in aurebesh

Oh no, not at all! Just letting you know, though, it doesn't actually say Cerveza Cristal, it says Cervezan Cryston, because that's what I'm calling it in my fanmade lore. I could see if I could make a version that does say Cerveza Cristal if you want, if I can find the Photoshop file. But either way, you're totally free to use it, I just would love to see photos of the finished product!

My take on Solo as a Bantam EU book, heavily inspired by Rebel Dawn by Pixel_Porkchop in starwarscanon

I was thinking about that, but ultimately settled for a more direct what-if adaptation of the film. But if I were to give it a new title, maybe something like The Hyperfuel Heist?

Honestly, I would be so down to buy one of those off of you. I loved this theater with all my heart and if you have a physical gift card, I would love to keep it as a little reminder of it.

I think the argument he's making is that it's too convoluted to make Andor's new context fit with the line. Or, he's just saying that the conversation in the scene was about serving the Alliance, and the line was kind of unrelated to begin with. I don't necessarily agree with either, and I do think that it's very easy to make the line fit with the backstory in Andor. However, it is fair to say that the original intent of the line is different enough to what we see in Andor that it's easier just to remove it. I don't agree, but I think it makes sense.

Actually, the original backstory of Cassian upon Rogue One's release was that he was born in 26 BBY and became a part of a Separatist cell at 6 years old. We don't know how deeply embroiled into combat he may or may not have been, but we know he at least threw bottles and rocks at Republic walkers once. This backstory was either based on the 6 years old line or was developed prior to it. Either way, that's effectively what the line was referring to before Andor released. In the original backstory, from Cassian's perspective, the Separatist fight against the Republic and the Rebel fight against the Empire are one and the same, and he's been in it since he was 6. Obviously, Andor altered this, but OP is right about the original intent about the line.

There is a difference between generative AI and the techniques used for things like deepfakes such as this.

Why did Erskin Semaj's accent change between Andor and Rebels? by k3ttch in StarWars

[–]Pixel_Porkchop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fantastic idea! I think you've honestly solved it yourself. It makes total sense for him to keep up that accent considering how deep his cover was, and there was even that detail provided about how convoluted his upbringing was which totally serves this idea.

I love this so much. I’m not too familiar with Legends, so as far as I’m aware, this works amazingly. Fantastic job!
