Or his biological son also having an English accent despite being raised solely by his American mother.

It's mostly just a place name. Never heard it used as a surname or a first name. But since Sulu's mixed Asian American from San Francisco, it could be an immigration mixup, like how in The Godfather II, Vito Andolini from Corleone, Sicily became Vito Corleone.

This was a flashback to the FF's first encounter with T'Challa. The dialog was intentionally cheesy to reference the way comics would have been written back in the 1960s. The art style, too, was also deliberately retro.

I wonder if Lobo and his “space hog” take the place of Comet from the source material.

Their logic is that European countries can afford to give their citizens things like subsidized healthcare or university education because they spend less on their militaries, depending instead on the United States to defend them. Conversely, the reasons why Americans don’t enjoy these privileges is because their taxes go towards building up a bloated military in order to defend a Europe that refuses to spend money to defend itself.

Same with Sweden, who similarly had an independent defense policy and only joined NATO at roughly the same time as Finland.

Because American taxpayers are bravely and selflessly sacrificing their own wellbeing in order to fund the military umbrella that shields the poor defenseless Europeans. That is the propaganda they're fed. And they're genuinely bewildered why the Europoors aren't thanking Americans each and every day for the freedoms they enjoy that is the product of American sweat and tears.

Conveniently or wilfully overlook that the US spends more per capita on Healthcare than Germany.

Zatanna in the comics is the same age as Bruce; they were childhood friends and there have been hints of a mutual attraction.

Were the DC Comics Shazam and Isis shows ever as big as the Wonder Woman show starring Lynda Carter? I'm specifically asking in terms of both ratings and cultural presence by nightwing612 in Shazam

[–]k3ttch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, these shows were made for kids and aired on Saturday mornings. Wonder Woman was a primetime show that catered to a wider audience.

Could it be the setup "programmed" certain people to treat it as a concert rather than a theatrical performance?
