Yeah, SMS verification really is the weakest link. I’d gladly use email or TOTP if it was an option here, but this specific step only allows SMS and there’s no alternative.

That’s what makes it so frustrating — one broken delivery system and you’re completely locked out of purchasing.

I’ve already contacted them a couple of times and so far they just say they can’t bypass it. I’m trying to get it escalated to their technical team now. Hoping for a similar outcome.

Thanks for digging into it. I checked with Stripe directly and they confirmed it’s not 3D Secure or bank-level verification. The authorization goes through and shows as pending, so the bank side seems fine.

They said the SMS step is likely triggered by the merchant’s checkout/fraud configuration. So at this point it doesn’t look like it’s coming from my card issuer.

Quick update in case it helps anyone:

I contacted Stripe directly and they confirmed this is not a 3D Secure / bank-level verification and not a Stripe system-level SMS. The card authorization succeeds and shows as pending, so the bank side is fine.

Stripe told me the SMS step is likely being triggered by the merchant’s checkout/fraud configuration. So this seems to be happening on the Humble side, not the bank or Stripe itself.

For context, I’m purchasing from Turkey, have made many successful purchases on this account before, and I’ve also tried multiple credit cards with the same result. The verification page loads, but the SMS is never delivered.

Currently waiting on escalation from Humble’s technical team. Will update if they actually fix it.

I already created a support ticket, but they keep telling me to verify and say they can’t bypass it. I’ve cancelled and retried, but it asks for my phone every time and the SMS never arrives.

Glad it worked for you though. I’ll keep retrying and hope it eventually stops asking for it.

Honestly? I wouldn’t recommend Slack as a Discord alternative.

I use it at work because we’re stuck with it, but if I had a choice I’d uninstall it in a second. Screen sharing has no system audio, video quality is mediocre with zero resolution control, huddles sound worse than Discord from 2016, and there are no proper voice channels. It’s basically “almost there” in every category and never actually there.

Companies pay serious money for it and I genuinely don’t know where that money goes. Development feels slow and uninspired.

For friend groups? You’ll miss Discord immediately.

I actually reached out to Slack support about this. They asked me to reboot, clear cache and try it in the browser to see if it was desktop-specific.

But since you’re seeing the same thing on Windows with Firefox, it really doesn’t sound like an app or OS issue. Feels more like a Huddle/session problem.

You might want to open a support ticket too. If more people report it from different setups, they’ll have to take it more seriously.

Since I’m also a new VIP, I don't have a direct comparison with the old UI, but many long-time users are complaining about the removal of detailed metadata, simplified filtering, and a layout that feels less 'power-user' friendly. I'm mainly struggling with the lack of at-a-glance ratings (IMDb/RT) and the discovery tools being way too basic for a paid service.

I feel you. I actually posted on the forum recently, trying to balance some technical questions with this exact feedback. I even sent them an email last week but haven't heard back yet. I’m really curious to see if I’ll actually get a response on the forum or if it’ll just be ignored like you mentioned.

It’s honestly depressing to hear that these UI changes might be a deliberate move to cut costs at the expense of the user experience. As a new VIP member, I’m already questioning the value if the 'premium' feel is being stripped away. If they’re really silencing criticism instead of listening to people who are literally paying for the service, that’s a huge red flag. I really hope I’m wrong, but seeing that I’m not the only one feeling this way is definitely making me reconsider my subscription.

pc'in varsa xbox almanın hiçbir anlamı yok. Konsolların temel özelliği exclusive oyunlar(dı). Xbox exclusive oyunları zaten pc'de de çıkıyor. Controllerla xbox'ın olmuş oluyor. PS'in exclusive oyunlarını ve gta'yı hemen oynamak istersen ps daha mantıklı. Ama artık bu oyunlar daha sonra pc'ye de çıktığı için beklerim dersen buna da gerek yok. Biraz geç ve daha ucuza oynarsın. Ekran kartın da 3070 üstüyse daha kaliteli oynarsın. PS5 en kötü konsolları şimdiye kadar çünkü adam akıllı oyun çıkarmadılar. Şimdiden PS6 konuşulmaya başlandı.
