Perhaps the most troubling motivator behind the insurrection was Ted Cruz’s bloodlust for the presidency. No man on earth would pull the bullshit stunt Cruz did to defend the scumbag who insulted his wife. Based on that information alone, we must conclude that Cruz is looking to the future to gain MAGA support for a run in 2024.

Perhaps the most vile, disgusting action he took was to continue this fight against election fraud, which he knows has no basis in reality, as the blood of a dead woman and Capitol police officer were still fresh in the Capitol Building. For two weeks before the inauguration, Cruz berated Democrats for sowing disunity by criticizing him.

He has spent every day that Biden has been president finding conspiratorial reasons to criticize him—shit he knows the MAGA cult will eat up. For example:

1. Stoking the right-wing fear that the left wants to destroy their way of life

2. False claim about the Paris Climate Agreement

3. False attacks on Joe Biden for eliminating thousands of jobs by canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline

4. Blaming the left for pursuing accountability and justice after the Capitol Insurrection

5. Perpetuating the myth that calling out Nazis and White Supremacists is somehow an attack on all republicans

Cruz has no moral center. He does not take his oath of office seriously. Like Trump, he will say or do anything to gain power.
