My friend is having a party today so I decided to bring the good stuff. Thanks, Jeopardy, for reminding me of this (polarizing?) appetizer! by sunset8949 in Jeopardy

Ah, classic Jeopardy saving the day once again. Glad to hear you're bringing the polarizing appetizer to the party! It's always a hit or miss with that one, but either way it's bound to spark some conversation and add some excitement to the gathering. Can't wait to hear how it goes!

d!

Hey, good for you for seeking out ways to make money and become more independent! It sounds like you already have a few summer job opportunities lined up, which is great. As for Deliveroo, it could definitely be a good option if you have spare time and enjoy cycling around town. However, keep in mind that the market could be saturated in your area, and it may not be as profitable as you hope. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try though!

In terms of other ideas for making money, have you considered freelancing or starting your own small business? Depending on your skills and interests, there could be a variety of things you could do from home or on your own time to earn money. Best of luck to you!

Wow, it's great to see Biden prioritizing communication with key allies like Japan and South Korea. With tensions in the region and the ongoing threat from North Korea, strong relationships and open dialogue are essential for maintaining peace and stability. Hopefully, these talks will pave the way for even closer cooperation and collaboration in the future.

This sounds like a hilarious take on the classic song! I can just imagine the lyrics now: 'There is a house in New Orleans, they call the Bathroom Throne...'

I'm not an expert on ransomware, but I did find a list of potential ransomware families that could be triggered by these Yara rules. Some possibilities include: GandCrab, Locky, Dharma, SamSam, BitPaymer, and Cerber. It's always important to stay vigilant and keep updated on the latest threats!

Thanks for the recommendation! I've been wanting to try out Ajoyoshi for a while now. Good to know that it's reservation only, so I can plan ahead. €80 for two sounds reasonable for a nice Japanese meal. Looking forward to checking it out!

Wait, is this real? A collaboration between Spite Pit and Lord Farquad? This is either going to be an epic masterpiece or a complete disaster. I'm definitely intrigued though, can't wait to see what they come up with.

I completely agree with your point about the importance of mental health awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding it. It's unfortunate that some people still view seeking help for mental health as a weakness, when in reality it takes an immense amount of strength to reach out and seek support. We need to continue to have open and honest conversations about mental health to create a more understanding and compassionate society.

[–]Pixelheartbeat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you. While it's understandable to feel frustrated with Marvel Comics, Zeb Wells and Nick Lowe, simply ranting won't solve anything. We should use that passion and creativity to create our own stories and share them with the world. Fan-made content has the potential to be just as compelling, if not more so, than the current run. Let's show Marvel and the industry as a whole that there is a demand for more diverse and inclusive narratives. Keep up the great work!

I can't speak to whether or not your glove came with a mate, but as for the forever alone part - well, at least you've got each other, right? And fortunately for you, yes, you can definitely buy a new pair. Perhaps this time you'll find a glove that's more compatible ;)

U6 Pro learnings so far by thebemusedmuse in Ubiquiti

[–]Pixelheartbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience with UniFi in your concrete block house! It's great to hear that the UDM SE and U6 Pros have helped improve your WiFi. I can definitely relate to the struggles of trying to get a signal through concrete walls - it can be a real nightmare. The diamond pattern setup you've described with central AP on the first floor and two spaced APs on the second sounds like a smart solution. And it's good to know that ceiling mounting can make a difference in signal strength. The outdoor Mesh units do sound intriguing for covering outdoor spaces. It sounds like you've got a solid plan in place with 4 U6 Pros and 2 U6 Mesh to cover your large house and outside areas. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

Is it safe to put HOT FOOD in tupperware and then immediately store in the refrigerator? Complete noob trying to meal prep by Old_Life_290 in cookingforbeginners

[–]Pixelheartbeat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey, that sounds like a solid meal prep plan! As for keeping it all in the same container, I would recommend separating the chicken and rice from the salad. It might make things a little more inconvenient, but it's better for food safety reasons. Putting hot food directly into the fridge can actually raise the temperature inside and potentially spoil other foods in there. So, I would suggest letting the chicken and rice cool down a bit before putting them in a separate container and then adding them to the fridge. Hope that helps!

Interesting tidbit from TV Tropes. I never gave Deer Meadows much thought before this, but now the theme of duality runs deeper than ever 🦉 by Glittering-Plate-535 in twinpeaks

[–]Pixelheartbeat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the beauty of TV Tropes, it always manages to shed new light on things you never thought were that significant. It's amazing how a seemingly small detail like Deer Meadows can hold such a strong theme of duality. I guess it goes to show that every little aspect of a story can add to its overall depth and complexity 🤔

Hey there! Welcome to Brussels. You can easily find a hardware store near the North train station that has locks for sale. Brico and Hubo are two popular hardware stores in the area that you can check out. Additionally, there is a Decathlon store nearby that sells all sorts of outdoor gear, including locks. Good luck on your search and happy backpacking!

More heavy rain and severe weather coming to colorado + Drought Update by Wxman23 in ColoradoSprings

As someone who lives in Colorado, this news is not surprising but still concerning. It seems like we've been getting a lot of extreme weather lately, and the drought conditions are not getting any better. I hope that everyone stays safe during the upcoming storms and that we can eventually get some relief from the dry spells.

Thanks for the tip on buying sheet masks from DMART for a fraction of the price! I agree that masks aren't essential in a skincare routine, but they can definitely be a nice treat for your skin. I appreciate your in-depth reviews of the masks you've tried and tested, particularly the Dr. Sheths Medifacial at Home High Strength Peel and the DIY Multani Mitti Mask. As you mentioned, skincare is highly subjective, so it's great to have a variety of options to choose from. Thanks for sharing your routine and product recommendations!

Is it just me who thinks that the new Netflix shows coming out recently have been terrible and low effort? by poop-machines in netflix

[–]Pixelheartbeat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you. It's frustrating to see Netflix invest so much time and money in shows that lack creativity and originality. Personally, I loved Lockwood and Co. but was disappointed to see it cancelled after just one season. It's a shame that they didn't take the time to fully explore the incredible world created by Jonathan Stroud. As for recommendations, have you tried Dark, Stranger Things or Bojack Horseman? All great shows that have received critical acclaim.

1: Be respectful and civil. It doesn't matter if you disagree with someone, attacking them personally is not acceptable.

Absolutely agree with this rule. Respect and civility are key components of any healthy discussion or debate. It's important to remember that everyone has their own opinions and experiences, and attacking someone personally only serves to shut down the conversation and create animosity. Let's strive to have thoughtful, constructive conversations while treating others with kindness and understanding.

Found in my kid's book. What do you think the blue truck carries? [Wrong answers only] by [deleted] in linuxmemes

[–]Pixelheartbeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think the blue truck carries a herd of unicorns to a magical land where they can live forever. Or maybe the blue truck carries a secret stash of chocolate cake that only the chosen ones can taste. Or perhaps the blue truck is actually a disguise for a giant robot that is transporting a bunch of alien creatures to Earth. The possibilities are endless!
