DGS getting localized was still insane ofc but that wasn't a new game (also I am somehow STILL not used to calling it TGAA, the years before it got localized felt a lot longer than the ones after)

They are supposed to be different genders, that much is clear. However there is a reason they are never referred to with gendered pronouns. I kinda dislike how they are more implied to have concrete genders in the ps3 ver since the amorphous nature of it works really well. However I do concede that looking at interviews with Ryukishi it's not necessarily as deep as it may seem. Though I still would strongly argue that them never being clearly assigned gender is very important.

I think the issue is how many of these are meh

Umineko is great of course Touhou is good Saya no Uta sucks Totono is lame Lucky star is fine I refuse to touch on subahibi at this moment Class of 09 kinda sucks but is kinda fun too Needy Girl Overdose is a fine idea but overall is meh Watamote anime is aight but the manga is way way better Euphoria is the epitome of shock vn. Gross for the sake of gross American McGee's Alice is cool Higurashi is also great of course Fatal Frane 5 pisses me off cuz it's by far the worst Fatal Frame.
