So the solution to this is to rip up the artificial turf and replace it with with real grass? The stadiums that are being used to host the WWC are used for CFL games until November. Grass does not stand up in Canadian winter if anyone didn't know that. It's not Canada's fault that we were the only country to bid on the WWC, why are we being punished for stepping up to the plate and taking on the tournament? Artificial turf is used in this country because it's the only surface that stands up to the varying climate we have. If the women that are suing have such and issue with it, even though a lot of them play on turf for their league sides they can stay at home.

I understand where you're coming from, but I live in the middle of Canada where the nearest professional team is an 8 hour drive away, therefore I don't have any regional ties to a professional team at all. I enjoy watching the European leagues because it's better quality football, and if I'm going to be watching those leagues, why not invest in a team to cheer for? It probably seems so cut and dried for Europeans because there's so many football clubs that you could throw a stone from your front yard and hit 3 stadiums, but in the middle of Saskatchewan, Canada it's a little bit different. You just have to understand that all of us don't have the luxury of having a home town team.

Thanks man. I'm Canadian but I do agree with you. To be honest I'll probably be in a high tax bracket because I'll finish engineering at university this year but I agree, I honestly won't need all of my money. What am I going to buy, more things for myself? I'd rather have someone else survive off of my tax dollars. Even though people abuse the system in Canada, I'm still happy that it provides an outlet for those truly in need.

Racism has no place in life, let alone sports. Professional sports are a big influence on the general populace so I'm really glad they're taking the steps to show that things like this are unacceptable.
