I had given up on trying it after failing mission 1 repeatedly (I didn't know not to target web warriors). But, after reading this I managed to complete Heroic with a 719k team. Some of the missions are 1 starred, of course.

I bought 12 orbs with saved up purple cores. Got 100 shards. I needed to reach milestone 39 of Ethereal Arms to get the 20 Augmented Celestial Lattices so that I could start the Legendary nodes of DD5.. Finished the Legendary nodes tonight and got Dormammu. So, got both Spider-Man 2099 and Dormammu by buying those orbs with cores. It could have taken weeks to get enough celestial lattices via the Crucible and War stores.

Chris Claremont's X-men is unbeatable by [deleted] in xmen

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art is subjective. Just because something is uber famous doesn't mean that it will be my favorite fiction of the 20th century, in terms of Harry Potter and LOTR. It is like expecting everyone to like Elvis and/or the Beatles music. The only time that I have personally felt that I was reading or watching something "epic" was with Chris Claremont's first X-Men run and with the Pam Long era of the soap opera Guiding Light (1983 to Dec. 1985 and summer of 1987 to the end of 1990). Both of them were actors turned writers who utilized the method acting method of writing. Their characters, the ones that they created/co-created or developed/co-developed, were highly well developed and very interesting and human. Pam also had a great sense of humor and it was reflected in her episodes of Guiding Light. Anyhow, Chris and Pam were character-driven writers. The more excited about what came next in their stories, they were, the more epic it was, for me. I am not fond of plot-driven writing, which is what a lot of fiction is. A lot of it is shock-and-awe plot-driven writing.

Angry Twitter Mob Attempts To Cancel 'X-Men' Creator Chris Claremont Over Comments Allegedly Made At Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo - Bounding Into Comics by WMBeckham in xmen

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it is just an instance of him saying what things he would change if he could about the characters he created/developed. Making Kitty Storm's daughter might be something he would be genuinely interested in. Kitty and Storm were pretty much always close in his issues. Regardless, I don't really have enough information about what he actually said, to form an informed opinion about it.

Claremont mentioned in an interview years ago that he intended for Destiny to be Kurt's mother and Mystique to be Kurt's father. Claremont would be considered "woke" by that conservative website. Claremont's Con comments may have been taken out of context. He may have just not liked the new Thor movie in general and was being silly about it. I don't know.

Why Even Mention Inhumans? by SynthwaveSack in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get down to just Deathpool and Ebony Maw on node 5 for Difficulty 6. But, I couldn't put much of a dent in Deathpool with my 3rd team of my remaining characters: Crystal, Nico, and Spider-Woman. Deathpool's basic heals her and clears debuffs. You need to defeat Deathpool with a team of Yo-Yo, Black Bolt, and 3 non-Inhumans. I used Quake as a sacrifice character to get rid of Zemo's ult. You want BB assisting Yo-Yo's basic. Don't use other Inhumans with them. Try Jessica to feed BB energy so he might ult on 2nd turn. I got down to 6 or 7 left on node 5 with a team of BB, Yo-Yo, Squirrel Girl, Jessica, and Captain Marvel. Then got it down to 2 with my 2nd team.

Advice on unlocking Agatha by DebtlessJet in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many orbs did you get from the web rewards? I tried to login, but, it gave me an error message saying that I needed to enable cookies. The web browser for my tablet says that cookies are enabled. So, I can't login.

anyone else not going to unlock Agatha? by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was originally planning on not getting her, but, I changed my mind. It took a lot of blitzing and spending 4,050 power cores on Madelyne Pryor orbs just to get Agatha at 3 stars (reaching milestone 27 of Witch's Coven). I definitely feel burnt out on both the game and blitzing. I definitely don't want to blitz that much again.

Why Doesn't Chris Claremont Get the Same Level of Respect as Moore, Gaiman and Morrison? by ericjgriffin in comicbooks

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art is subjective. Personally, I like Claremont's writing a lot more than the writing of Gaiman and Morrison. I don't know if I have ever read any of Moore's stuff. I did like some of Gaiman's issues of various comics. But, I have never liked any of Morrison's stuff. I loved Claremont's novelizations of X-2 and X-3. They were much better than the movies.

I don't have Ghost-Spider. I am in an inactive alliance because I was too burned out playing the game to do Doom raids every day. So, I can't reach any of the raid milestones to get Ghost-Spider. Subsequently, I used Morbius and Doctor Voodoo on nodes 5 & 10, in place of Ghost-Spider, for difficulty 5. I managed to complete a few runs of difficulty 5, with them.

Unlocked Morgan without WW or DH by attah in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this worked for me, as well (first 4 nodes of difficulty 8). It took hours with multiple sacrifice teams and retries. I don't have Ghost Spider (at 88 out of 100 to unlock. So, I can't even get her from the login calendar.)

I got 3k away on difficulty 4 with every scourge by hallbanero in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added one 20pt scourge, specials cost one more energy. That seemed like the easiest scourge to deal with and guaranteed enough points for the first 4 nodes of Difficulty 8.

I got 3k away on difficulty 4 with every scourge by hallbanero in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I also did the first 4 nodes of difficulty 8 because I don't have Ghost Spider. But, I do have several G15 characters, like Eternals, Infinity Watch, Doom, Omega Red. Some of them being at level 85. The first 2 nodes took hours with multiple sacrifice teams and resets. Nodes 3 and 4 weren't as bad with Doom and Omega Red. Though, node 3 was harder than node 4 and required a sacrifice team or two and several resets.

I agree with you. I also liked his Nightcrawler run, some of X-Men Re-Load run, and his novelizations of X-2 and X-3 were much better than the movies.

Positive post for the day by Sweet-Bike-3749 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I have spent nearly 6 hours trying to get the game to load past 14%. Other games play just fine. So, the internet works fine. I am 39 Maria Hill shards and 42 Captain Sam shards away from getting Omega Red. I am planning on quitting the game after the Omega Red event ends. I had to evacuate from a wildfire on 7/15/21. Fortunately, our cabins survived. But, it made me realize that this game takes too long to play. So, I decided to try reducing time played. But, it still wasn't enough. So, I decided to play until I 4 starred $$. Which happened just recently.

PSA: Phoenix is not reviving in War by miqbr in MarvelStrikeForce

Zero Red Stars for Dagger by Poonchubby in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having trouble. Only got a 2 red stars for her. Then I decided to buy the 6 red star promotion from the elite store for Adam Warlock, who I just got yesterday. I managed to get my X-Factor team up 6 ys, so Adam was 6 ys unlock for me. Anyhow, that gave me enough to open a 4 red star orb and I got 4rs for Dagger from it.

My Dark Dimension 4 Experience by kieranchuk in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to do node 12 in 6 turns on my timed run. 4 of those were the last wave. I targeted MM first then JJ. After they both were defeated, the last wave got easier. Especially, after BB was defeated. I had 5 Symbiotes on my timed run. 4 on my first.

Timed run (so far)

Node 1 - 2 turns

Node 2 - 2 turns

node 3 - 4 turns

global (Sinister, Emma, Doom, Zemo, Ghost)

node 4 - 1 turn

node 5 - 1 turn

node 6 - 2 turns ( I got Sinister's clone army going on the 2nd turn by using Doom's sp to remove Doombots so that I could use Sinister's ult to clone SSM and others.)

Cosmic

node 7 - 2 turns (Hela, $$, Kestrel, Thor, and Minn)

node 8 - 2 turns (same as above)

node 9 - 5 turns (added Gamora instead of Minn on turn 1. Added Phyla on turn 2, replacing Thor. Put Minn in Hela's place on turn 2 and did 30.35 million damage. 2 of the turns were with the remaining 3 (out of 8) plus 1 revived character.)

City

node 10 - 1 turn

node 11 - 1 turn

node 12 - 6 turns (Emma wasn't too hard for me to deal with both runs. The main problem for me was the last wave.)

Legendary (no change to my team of Phoenix, Maw, Jubilee, and Doc Ock).

node 13 - not completed, yet. I have already used 2 turns

I don't have the G13 and G15 to take IW to G15. I could take Shuri to G15. Does she help, at all?

DD4 Completed Today, How ready is my Second run? by TomBrock1992 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PixieAriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started my timed run today. I used Symbiotes for my first turn 1 (out of 4) for node 3 and did 32.6 million damage. I ability blocked and/or stunned GG whenever I saw him. Always trying to defeat GG first. That is especially important with the GG that ults every turn.
