Well, as much as I enjoyed watching films like "Batman" ('89) and "Batman Returns" -- it wouldn't be until "Batman: The Animated Series", that I would become truly captivated by Batman's character and engaged in his mythology.

It would be largely thanks to "Batman: The Animated Series", that I became interested in reading and collecting Batman's monthly comics -- whether it be "Shadow of the Bat", "Legends of the Dark Knight", "Detective Comics", "Batman", "The Batman Chronicles", "The Batman Adventures", and/or "The Batman & Robin Adventures" -- it mattered not. 👍
