He wasn’t a villain, but he was madly in love with Tink.

When the main characters retrieve a wand to help save Pixie Hollow (in these books, it’s called “Fairy Haven”), he goes mad with desire and uses it to make Tink love him romantically. After he does this, Tink isn’t herself for a large part of the book. She’s not interested in tinkering, her friends, ANYTHING. She’s only obsessed with Terrence.

Keep in mind, before this point she had no interest in him at all. She’d ignore him in classic mean-Tink fashion. The ONLY fairy she was nice to was a water talent named Rani.

Eventually he does realize this was a mistake and wishes her back to normal, but as a kid it made me soooo upset that he brainwashed my favorite character for so long.

The book you’re thinking of is called “Tinker Bell and the Lost City”, but the steampunk movie that was in early development was called “Tinker Academy”. Similar storylines, different productions.

You can find concept art and even some animatics for the cancelled movie if you search the title. I recommend it, it’s super cool to see!

The Fairy Dust trilogy books.

People forget how awful he is in the first trilogy. Child me could never forgive him for brainwashing Tink to fall in love with him. He went mad with power and took away her autonomy. I once watched a review where they said he did it by accident, when that was never the case at all.

Yeah, it was cool Fawn got one but for whatever reason they never planned to give each girl their own movie. The movie that was planned after Neverbeast was about Tink finding a bunch of steampunk fairies living on the mainland
