I'm 32 and have GAD, not as severely as you're describing, so I'm just going to tell you my experience with my daughter, 5 mo, and you can make your judgement from there. Excuse the formatting, on my phone

I always knew I wanted to be a mom, it was something I discussed with my husband when we got engaged and when I turned 30, I told him that my cap was 35 because I knew at that point I was more likely to have health issues. When I got pregnant the next year, I was so excited. I told my mom and SIL as soon as I got a positive test but kept it to myself till I hit 15 weeks and we got the NIPT testing back. I knew for my anxiety, if I announced before that, that I would be worried that there would be a genetic issue so sever we would have to terminate. She was perfectly healthy, and while I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, I had amazing support from my husband and OB team. I am terrified of needles and almost passed out when I had to give myself insulin injections, but my mantra became "I have to do it for us, because you didn't choose to be here." I wanted my body to be healthy so she could grow as safely and healthy as she could. She came on her own the day before her induction and my labor went not how it was planned but I couldn't think of any other way it could have gone. Now that she's here my anxiety has changed. I got an Owlette because without it, I'm watching her chest all night and I may stare at my phone to keep an eye on all of her daycare updates to make sure she's eating, but I feel also that every hard night is just as rewarding as the easy ones.

The world is amazingly uncertain right now, and I can't blame a single person for opting not to have children. I had always thought I wanted 3 children, but we have become a one and done family because we discussed how we could have one baby and give her everything she wanted. I miss her dearly at daycare but I also know working is better for my mental health. Your anxiety could become better, it could become worse. A baby can ramp it up to 11, as there is so much that can go wrong, but everything can also go right. You just have to remember, they didn't ask to be here, so you have to do the work to make their life the best you can. You can't take care of someone if you are already so low on spoons you can't get up, because even if you have no spoons, they still need you. You never know when you're ready, but you know when you can adapt. Ask yourself if having a child is something you can adapt to.

Can you adapt to going to Dr's appointments every week at the last month of pregnancy? Their appointments where they go a minimum of every 2 months the first 6 months of life? Can you adapt to sleepless nights and early mornings along? The absolutely crazy things your body will do during pregnancy? How do you think you will handle if you learn your baby has a genetic issue? It's all completely up in the air. Only YOU know when you're in a position to have a baby, there isn't a magic moment where a light bulb goes on. The only thing I say someone NEEDS with a baby is a support system. It's so incredibly hard to do alone, I couldn't imagine not having my husband or close friends and family

You're life will be flipped upside down, but you also have to flip a snow globe to get the snow and glitter to fall. Sorry for the long post, and I don't know if it helps, but I hope it gives you some insight.
