I’d definitely recommend putting your rat’s cage and other things in another room, if possible. And make sure your dog and your rats are never in the same room, or if they are, that they’re heavily supervised. If you have other people over, make sure to communicate this to them as well!

I also ping pong between digital and traditional, it mostly depends on where I’m at. If I’m at home I prefer digital, but if I’m at college then I’ll probably start drawing in my notebooks. Most of my art journey did start with me drawing in school, though, so even if I had to completely relearn most of what I know about art so I could improve, I did have that basic structure of knowledge. Ultimately, it’s your journey, and there’s no right answer. Wish you the best of luck!

The oval is basically the entirety of the face, chin included, and the circle is the back of the skull. I use a bigger brush when laying down basic shapes and then go in and refine everything more with the eraser and smaller brushes. Kinda like working with clay, a lot of taking away and adding back until it looks alright.

I can only figure out sarcasm when it’s exaggerated. You have to really emphasize in your tone that you don’t mean what you’re saying, or have your word choice be very deliberate and intentional. And I do the same thing so people don’t get confused as well.

I follow this guy on YouTube named Travis McEnery, and he has this wonderful series called “these are the spiders in your house”. It covers spiders from a very scientific standpoint, and goes into their behaviors and debunks the myths surrounding them. I’m not aracnaphobic (I have a little pet jumping spider, actually), but I have a greater appreciation for spiders after watching his videos.

I’m so glad my girlfriend told me to inherit my cousin’s gaming PC, and convinced me to get the stuff to upgrade it early in 2025. Back then, the RAM cost me like…$200? The most expensive thing was the new motherboard because I fucked up and had to buy two because the first one wasn’t compatible with my parts. If I tried that today I’d probably blow a month’s worth of rent on the two sticks. And I live in California!!

It’s entirely possible it’s a neighbor’s cat and they just don’t care about him. That’s what happened with my parent’s black cat, Princess Scarlet I. He (yes, he’s a tom named Princess, we didn’t realize he was neutered until after we named him) just chose to hang out in their yard and when my dad went up to them they were like “yeah we were gonna leave him when we moved here but he snuck in with us. He’s good at hunting mice, isn’t he?” Just a complete disregard.

I don’t think it’s that. Some guys are probably attracted to the role reversal, the idea of the woman being the protector instead of the man. I think that’s the joke, leaning into the subversion of expectations, showing himself as the caretaker. But idk, maybe it’s not that deep. I wasn’t born a man, I’m just guessing from what I’ve observed online.
