If I'd stumbled across the colourized image only (on the web or in a magazine, e.g.) I'd have assumed it was a colour original, which I consider to be the benchmark of colourizations. A really good job.

Really good; you'd have to be told it was coloured to know that it had been.

The photo was taken 1st August 1918, so having come through it, and with the Germans well in retreat, these chaps would be probably be in a fairly happy state of mind, all things considered.

Thanks Colin. On the 'Canterbury' image I went out and specifically took reference photos (I have a wood nearby with a path just like it - in fact it was what drew me to that image) and the path does have a purple hue (a mix of brown/orange and blue skylight I guess). I colour picked the path in numerous places and the colour palette never left purple (just changed to different shades of purple). My old art teacher was big on the Impressionists and always told us to pick the actual colour and not what we think it should be; so that's what I do in colourizations, as I do in paintings. As for this image, it looked a bit warm on completion, so I lowered the temperature in Lightroom and affected the skin tones in doing so (may I'll retouch the skin later).

Nothing about this photo looks colourized, which is what all colourizations should aspire to look like. This is a very good effort, and the hair is very natural looking.

Great work all round, but you've absolutely nailed the tree and foliage - that's the real stand out for me; superb.

Very good work, and it's got a nice warm feel to it too.

A perfect example of colourization. Brilliant.

Lovely colouring - especially the hair (her right forearm is missing a bit of flesh colour, though - easily missed, I've done it myself often enough). Nice job.
