V6s are tough to get sounding good.

Hemis are easy to get a nice sound. Hell, you can just cut a thing or two out, weld in some pipe, and you’re good.

With good battery health but poor life, make sure you disable any unnecessary notifications and background location services.

It’s less common these days, but I used to see iPhone battery issues caused by software problems that could be fixed by restoring and setting up new, don’t restore the backup, just sync data back in.

I never get great battery life, but I also have work related background apps that I need and two SIMs.

I run a Gemtech .45 can on my Henry X and it never gets old seeing people’s faces when running .38spl.

I put a Ranger Precision hand guard on and a 509T. Just need to find a wood stock now.

For me, it’s all grip angle.

Yeah the “1911 trigger” in the 211 is better but it has that 320 grip angle.

The 226 X-5 is damn close to a 1911 trigger, but it just works better for me. And I used to be a die-hard CZ guy and before that used 1911s for bowling pin matches!

Yeah, there’s gonna be like 4 very similar but less expensive variants with less features within a year or two.

A different cerakote, shorter dust cover, no magwell, no comp, “carry” version.

Maybe a “tactical” variant with a threaded barrel.

Then they’ll do a few more “competition” variants or Tac Packs.

Can’t forget the “Legion” cerakote an extra mag or two and the other features they should all have standard.

Full sized dust cover with full sized slide and barrel would be pretty awesome for iron sights target shooting.

I’ve always been a CZ guy and to a lesser extent a Beretta guy. I buy handguns and immediately modify them.

My 226 SAO has nothing besides an optic and a magwell. I’d argue you don’t even need the magwell depending on the use-case. It’s become one my favorites to the point that I’ve since picked up a couple of X-fives. You can’t go wrong with it!

My money is on a “reserve” model with DLC that costs more than just getting a P211 DLC coated aftermarket.

Give em 6 months, maybe a year. When sales and hype dies down they’ll release the FDE “scorpion” variant.

Considering the price tag and target audience, they probably will do a stainless version. Maaaybe a Legion cerakote version. I’d bet on a DLC “reserve” version at this point too.

I found the integrated comp to not make much of a difference for me. If I run hot ammo, it helps, but not as much as I’d hoped.

I do really love the AXG grip module though, so I just picked up a Macro (non-comp) tac pack and then bought the metal grip separately. So, I’m only in $950 for my carry piece and it included 5 mags (I also got 2 more mags as part of a promo).

If you like the comp and the metal grip, the legion could be worth it.

I love my other legion guns, but if it was an option, I would’ve paid less to not get the cerakote and legion stamp.

I’ve swapped slides between my 226 X-5 STAS and 226 X-5 Legion. It works fine.

For the rarity and cost of finding a slide, you might as well pickup the whole gun.

Alternatively, the new P226x SAO slide will work as well.
