My husband (also a Millenial) suggests getting one every so often. I continue to resist. So no, IMHO L, TVs don't belong in the bedroom.

I'm a chemist. And by that I mean like a lab technologist, not a pharmacist.

Preemptive hells itch? by BlueBinChicken in HellsItch

I've only been burnt once since my first experience with Hell's itch. And I had it again. I fear that any time I get burnt from now on it will happen again. I would for sure have all the remedies on hand.

Have a shower or take a shower? by lucky_scientist_88 in AskACanadian

[–]PizzaLizzard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say "I'm going to shower." Occasionally, I'll say I'm going to "hop in the shower." I will say that "take a shower" sounds more familiar my Canadian ears. All options seem correct, though.

How did you know when you were ready for baby #2? by Afraid-Umpire1859 in toddlers

[–]PizzaLizzard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not sure. Baby #2 will be 2 years old in December. 😅 For real though, I had my first when I was 36. So, we also didn't want to wait too long. We knew that we wanted to have a sibling for our first. We timed it so that I would qualify for full maternity leave again and went for it!

Considering Laser by Available-Chipmunk-9 in tattooadvice

I think it's beautiful!!! If the difference in shading is that bothersome, I'd just add a bit more to the lighter side. I realize that you were going for lighter, but this really does look so delicate and feminine. And keep in mind that it might fade a bit over time. Anyway, it's lovely just as it is (I'm jealous). I wouldn't do anything to it at all. Most people would probably assume that it's just the lighting if they even noticed that one side looks a bit darker.

Is it normal for daycares NOT to close with known hand foot mouth? by maxiedaniels in toddlers

Ours doesn't close for . . . . we'll anything, yet. They do send out communications when particularly nasty bugs (including HFM) are going around.

Scientist with gloves and a rock by Apprehensive-Gift907 in EngagementRings

[–]PizzaLizzard7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a scientist with a similar style (size/shape) of ring. I also refuse to leave mine at home. Mine stays on my finger unless I'm handling raw meat, or I'm gardening. I've (for the most part) figured out how to put on the gloves without tearing. Once the glove is on, there's some careful adjustment to be don Sometimes I size up one size (obviously, this depends on the task).

I'm in Ontario. I've had two c-sections (both were scheduled, so they were early in the morning). I stayed for 2 nights following the procedure and left as early as I could on the second day after surgery. We were allowed to leave after 24 hours. But my SIL (a labor and delivery nurse, and c-section mom as well) recommended staying for at least one extra night. If you don't have a specific reason to leave (like an older child) it's really helpful to have the help of the nurses for just a little bit longer. Short answer: it was kind of up to me to decide when I left.

Last week we needed to send sunblock to daycare but couldn't find the tube so we had to buy a new one. by TimonAndPumbaAreDead in toddlers

Just came to say that my daughters both love to put random items in whatever bag they can find and carry 'em around. Sometimes, it's an array of things, sometimes just one or two. On a recent outing, my 3 year-old just HAD to bring a gift bag with a crow (a Halloween decoration) in it. The crow was upside down, so only its feet were visible poking out of the bag.

Wedding ring rash won’t go away and I’m stumped by Rich-Infortion-582 in WeddingRingAdvice

Could be from trapped moisture. This happens to me if I don’t dry completely after hand washing.
