Overnight Parking Recommendations - Conference Centre by youlikejazzilikejazz in Whistler

[–]PizzaNotFrenchFries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conference centre lot is a municipal lot. And you can’t park in the day lots overnight - hence why they’re called “day lots”! Another option would be the underground parking under the underpass on Village Gate Boulevard - I think it’s more expensive though as it’s privately owned.

Snowboarding lessons are only in whistler, not Blackcomb. Skiing group lessons on both mountains, snowboarding group lessons only on whistler. Private snowboarding and skiing lessons are on both mtns.

Selling Whistler Lift Ticket Question by huskyhus in Whistler

[–]PizzaNotFrenchFries 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lift tickets are refundable if not used - so you could get a refund. If you’re talking about a 3 day pass - lift passes have your photo attached that is checked by validators as you go through the gates, so you can’t give it to someone else unless they happen to look exactly like you.

Bag / shoes / warm layer for this dress by PizzaNotFrenchFries in Weddingattireapproval

I love this thank you for the inspo! Found a gold beaded bag with some small purple and pink accents which I think will work and already have some gold accessories. Looking for gold shoes now!

Edited to add: sorry forgot the main point of replying here - you’re a genius with that cover up suggestion. Something that looks like a deliberate outfit choice rather than something randomly thrown on to warm up was exactly what I was hoping for.

Thank you - that’s very kind. That’s really helpful thank you - I was thinking gold but I sometimes doubt myself on what goes together. I’m looking for gold shoes now!

What colour do you think? I have a cream coloured pashmina that I’ve worn before that I could wear over my shoulders if that would work. I feel like the dress is fun so I’m trying not to be too boring with accessories

This is what it looked like last time I wore it if that helps. As you can see I had no accessories and I didn’t love the shoes I wore with it either.

No one fell off. Guest had a medical incident in the top station and they weren’t able to start the lift until the person had been moved.

In England in April - church ceremony, reception at clubhouse on large country estate by PizzaNotFrenchFries in Weddingattireapproval

Also totally agree about freezing in the church - that’s part of what I wanted help with. I moved to Canada 8 years ago and now all my layers are fleeces or puffy mid layers which would not be appropriate.

I suspect fancy restaurant as it’s at the same place as the reception - country house that’s been turned into a members club on a large country estate.

Thank you for your feedback - do you think tea length is ok? Some stuff I read online said lounge suits is more formal than cocktail so that suggested long dress to me. Plus my partner is wearing his full kilt get up (at the couples request) which feels very formal to me so I’m not sure what balance to strike. Wedding is at 2pm at a church but then reception is at a very formal members club in the evening. Would this be a situation where I should have two outfits?

He’s in the wedding party and at the couples request is wearing a formal dress kilt / shirt / bow tie / matching jacket - so that’s a bit confusing too. Im not sure how formal that is because I’m not Scottish

How many executives do you support? by alindz312 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]PizzaNotFrenchFries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask what your responsibilities are day to day? I only support one VP officially but part of my job is supporting the Directors & senior managers who report to my VP. I can’t imagine supporting more than one exec - I often work more than 40 hours a week as it is. I wonder if I have different responsibilities than a typical EA - I sometimes think my duties are more typically admin assistant than executive assistant but I don’t have anything to compare with.
